The pulley and hook mea s ures about 14 inches tall and 4 inches wide. The rollers are about 3 1/2 in ches across. The rope measures 3/4 inch. I have not unrolled the rope. I estimate that there is at least 50- 75 feet long, possibl y more. Rope looks like it has been kept in the dry. Looks to be in good condition. Very interesting old pulley. Has a very unusual design in that the rope around the side holds the hook. My estimation is this came off a ship well over 100 years ago. This is an antique DOUBLE! block pulley. Plenty of character for this 13 lb monster. It's an old piece estimated to be from the mid 1930s. The hefty 5.5" iron latch with bolt and two IRON wheels give the pulley plenty of character. Overall. Excellent working condition with all moving parts working, very solid. This is an old rare block pulley. Just the wood part measures over 8 inches long and 6 inches wide. Entire length is 17 inches. The wood is weathered and the metal is tarnished. I don't know whether it was originally intended and used for logging or nautical/marine rigging purposes. It weighs about 35 pounds and is approximately 27" long. And the block is about 8" x 8" The iron hook itself is nearly 10 1/2" long, so this thing was intended to do some heavy lifting! The pulleys turn on the shaft. It's an attractive old piece, but it should probably function just fine as well, maybe just needing some lubrication. The wood is weathered but it's holding together solidly. As the pictures show, the iron has surface rust which does not compromise the integrity of the iron or affect it's function, other than, as mentioned, needing lubrication. ... moreThis has either raised sails or logs, I think; perhaps someone has more specific and knowledgeable information to share. I purchased this at an auction of all sorts of things in 2004. I have no idea as to its age, and I've found no markings on it. Since it's so heavy. This is a very nice example of a nautical pulley for a sailing vessel. It is Brass and Wood and the side emblems are marked M B. The emblem on one side is missing the two brass screws. They are size#3. The emblems are both present with the pulley. It is approximately 5 1/4 inches from the tip of one end of the brass ring bracket to the tip of the bottom bracket holders. The wood sides are approximately 3 1/4 inches long by 2 3/8 inches wide. There is a ring and pin on the end of the ring bracket. The piece shows some wear from use and is in very good condition. This bid is for a big heavy hit miss motor double belt pulley. This measures almost 13" on the outside and 12" inside the groove. The groove measures 5/8" wide on the inside. This has a 1 3/8" compression nut. I guess that is what you call it, shaft hole. The pulley is stamped A120 B124. I'm selling off some of my Upgrades for my Rega P3-24 Turntable. This package includes- A Michael Lim Double Pulley and Pulley Puller. Do a google search for Michel Lim lpblogspot for more information. This is the shorter 60hz version. Worked great with my Groovetracer Subplatter. It has slight cosmetic damage to the top that does not effect it's performance in any way. There are videos of the pulley's top and of it in action on my turntable got to youtube and search for"double pulley puller belts" and"Lim Double Pulley" Also included are a 60hz double Pulley from Argentina(Gus sells them here on Ebay) and 2 belts from Gus as well. The Belts are not as high quality as standard Rega belts. But are good enough to get you started if you need an extra one. This upgrade helps with imaging and Speed Stability.
