Here's a good Vintage EC4-1 Braden Winch 9" Spool. Solenoids Included. Did some research. Took a while. But found a 1975 ad for this winch, advertising 8000 pound capacity. Working Unit! Shows expected wear. Tested without load. Releases and Rewinds OK! Found at a local auction. As said, the spool is 9" wide in the cable area. It's 2" deep. Ad said it originally came with 150 feet of 5/16" cable. There was a rusty 3/8" cable on it, that has been removed. This unit was washed with solvent, to check for physical condition, cracks, etc. All is good. I check the operation off my truck battery. It retrieves fine, locks when stopped and releases when the motor is reversed. The solenoids look like recent replacements and work as they should. Aluminum mount are fine.
