Tractors were getting bigger and more powerful and Ford wanted farmers to know they were in competition-they could literally run with the big boys. So they simply gave farmers a Ford 6000 to use for a day. The program was called Run For a Day RFD(a clever take on the decades old designation of the Postal Service's Rural Free Delivery for rural areas) Like the Post Office. Ford delivered. Here's what we find makes this ad interesting. And therefore more collectible: In 1961. Ford had introduced the 6000 to farmers as a step above everything else Ford had done in terms of power. Up for sale are TWO media rack selves as seen in the photos. These shelves are made by the Middle Atlantic company and are in very good cosmetic shape. Included are 8 screws which fasten the shelves to the rack as well as the black cross bars screwed to the shelves. The dimensions of the shelves is 19 inches from end of bracket to end of bracket.15 1/2 inches deep, and 17 1/2 inches wide. The back of the shelf is vented as seen in the photo.
