Up for auction is a nice used Shimano Custom GT Plus GT 2000 spinning reel. It was made in Japan and is so marked on the foot. It has the"Fightin Drag" system. The reel is used. But in very good condition. The graphics and tape/decals all look good except for some wear on the stem. The reel is set up for a left hander now, but can easily be changed over for right hand use. The reels weighs 8.4 ounces. The spool holds 180 yards of 6 pound, 140 yards of 8 pound and 105 yards of 10 pound test line. The gear ratio is not shown on the reel but it looks to be about 5.2:1. Please take a look at the enlarged photos, as they accurately depict the cosmetic condition of this reel. Mechanically, the reel is in good working order. The action is super smooth and the drag and anti reverse mechanisms work fine. The bail is strong. Vintage Shimano Custom X-1000 Quickfire spinning reel and a Shimano Magnumlite ML2551 Light Action Rod. Both made in Japan. The reel is in mint condition- just a couple of very light paint rubs on the handle. The rod is in excellent shape. Though the tip guide will need to be replaced(insert is missing) Two piece rod. 5' 6" long. It is rated for 4-8 lb line and 1/16- 3/8 oz lures(though I couldn't imagine throwing anything that heavy with it. I would say it is more of a true ultralight rod with a little backbone. I had no problem casting a 1/32 crappie jig with 4 lb line) The rod will be carefully packaged in bubblewrap and shipped in a PVC tube via Priority Mail. The reel will ship separately via First Class Mail.
