This reel appears to be in operational condition. It has been stored for some time and I would expect it needs new line. Everything seems to work on the reel. It looks to be in original condition with no messed up screw heads. The plastic components are in good condition. No brittle or dry rotted parts. The spool is easy to remove with a button on the front. The area under the spool looks clean and new. The paint finish is flaking on the part that attaches tothe rod and has some scrapes and chips(see photos) I am not an expert with reels but I believe this one is ready to go fishing with a little cleaning. Daiwa RG 1650 Rear Drag Ball Bearing Spinning Reel NICE
For auction is a nice DAIWA RG 1650 Spinning Reel. Really the only problem I find with it is the little piece on the back that says more or less is loose. It does not have line on it at this time but the best I can tell it is doing all that it should. You may want to oil it up but I think it works well as is.
