The reel is in working condition. It is a few years old and has been used on fishing trips ranging from fresh to saltwater. I have cleaned it after every trip. It still reels smoothly int he sense it does not hiccup or get stuck. But it has a rougher noise to it. I took it to Cabela's and the associate told me how to clean it to get rid of the noise but I never bought the supplies and have gone towards heavier game fishing which required a different reel. It has been sitting around my house since then. I am sure if you have familiarity with cleaning reels, this should be a simple job to make it sound as smooth as it was out of the box. I only applied reel oil and general dirt and dust cleaning. Also. As seen in the pictures, the reel has wear and tear. All the pictures are of its current condition and nothing is broken on the reel itself ... morebut scratches are present.
