Therefore this a better choice for this high-end sewing machine. It has been converted to use standard 15x1 needles. Beware of the sellers that does not talk about the needles this machine uses! A highly versatile machine designed to sew a wide variety of materials from lightweight up to and including moderately heavy materials such as tarps. Sunbrella, tents, boat covers, suede, denim, upholstery to light leather. It is a high shank, straight and zigzag stitch machine with reverse and offers 5/16" space under its' foot. This machine was made in Western Germany and the serial number 8067839 dates this to 1964.
