These 1960s White sewing machine models are all-steel geared, precision built, very powerful with its 1.3 amp motor, made to last a lifetime. This machine has attachments and comes with 15 decorative stitch cams. It's a strong straight stitch- zigzag with reverse feed sewing. The feed dog can be easily dropped for freehand sewing. Darning, silk and quilting. With this machine you can sew lightweight, medium& heavy weight fabrics, has stitch width and length knobs, will sew multiple layers of denim, vinyl and canvas, garment leather is no problem either. You will be able to do embroidering. My sewed samples consist of 5 layers of vinyl and 7 layers of denim, sewed them with such ease and nice clean tight stitches ... moreit amazed me. It uses standard 15x1 needles. Standard class 15 bobbins, standard( low shank attachments) available wherever sewing supplies are sold. The set of 15 decorator discs. 9 of which produce 27 different single needle embroidery patterns according to the needle position used. One disc enables you to put in a blind stitch hem automatically, and the remaining 5( Red) are designed primarily for use with twin needles. However. By using the red twin needle discs numbered 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 with a single needle, very dainty patterns are made in either left, center or right needle position giving you 15 more designs. Made in Great Britain I do not know the history of this machine. Selling as a parts machine but did test it enough to know it sews. I tried the zig-zag lever but it didn't change from the straight stitch. Don't know if it just doesn't work or if I'm supposed to do something else. The light works. This is a Pfaff heavy duty sewing machine model 139 in excellent working condition. A highly versatile machine designed to sew a wide variety of materials from lightweight up to and including moderately heavy materials such as tarps. Sunbrella, tents, boat covers, suede, denim, upholstery to light leather. It is a high shank, straight and zigzag stitch machine with reverse and offers 5/16" space under its' foot. It runs smooth and strong. Included are two bobbins, bobbin case, foot controller and three foot attachments along with the stitch samples. It has a working light. This machine was made in Western Germany and the serial number 8067839 dates this to 1964.
