The only flaw I could find with the machine is that the wiring going to the light is starting to crack slightly and there is some small slight discoloration on the matte finish of the machine in a couple spots. This is very minor- I actually had to point it out to someone who looked at the machine. It has two spool pins and can be used with one thread at a time or with two. Serial number: PA227914 built in 1956 in Karlsruhe, West Germany. Some of the world's best sewing machines have came out of Germany, and many collectors consider the 216-G to be one of the best of them. We purchased this 216 from a gentleman who has used it for the last two decades making specialty seats for Harley Davidson motorcycles until retiring this past fall. We have serviced this machine for him a few times over the years, and know it's been well taken care of, so when we heard it was up for sale, I just had to have it. It shows some cosmetic battle scars from decades of use, but runs as smooth ... moreand as strong as the day it left the factory.
