Does not have the internal drive belt like some other Pfaffs that are impossible to find when they break. The model 6 was designed to last forever! Has feed dog drop for darning and free motion work. Reverse, light, and stitch length adjustment. Uses easy to find class 15 bobbins. This model 6 comes with accessories box and extras as seen in pic. PFAFF MODEL 230 SEWING MACHINE VINTAGE MODEL from the 1950's
1950's vintage sewing machine made in Germany. This machine is all metal and nothing like the new sewing machines made today. It is very heavy(close to 45 pounds) It includes the original case enclosure pictured. I will start out by saying that I am no expert on the subject of sewing machines. This sewing machine was originally owned by my grandmother. Per a letter she left with this sewing machine. It was originally purchased in 1955. As to the condition of this machine. It is all based on my observations and should not be considered professional. I did a thorough look at the exterior and interior mechanisms of this machine. From my observations I can note the following: 1. The sewing machines powers on perfectly and the motor spins without issue. 2. I do not have the original sewing machine belt(or could not fit the one currently with ... moreit) but I was able to manually turn the pulley and all the mechanisms of the sewing machine seemed to move smoothly and without problems. 3. The sewing machine has a light fixture that has been tested and working. 4. Given the age. I believe this machine is in fairly good condition cosmetically. I will note that there is evidence of some paint peal on the machine on the bottom of it. I believe this can be easily repainted to look like new. From my viewing, it appears this machine was well taken care of internally. 5. The foot pedal has been tested and works perfect. If you are interested in the performance of this machine. Up for bid we have a VINTAGE 1952 GERMAN MADE PFAFF MODEL 130 PORTABLE SEWING MACHINE. This was considered the Cadillac of sewing machines and was built with quality and workmanship throughout. It includes the instruction booklet. A heavy duty carrying case that lifts off with two built in parts draws, a metal parts container, a simple Dial-a-stitch function, stitch regulator and many other parts that allow it to do many functions. The booklet lists some of the operations without attachments. It makes buttonholes, or corded buttonholes, sews straight and reverse, sews on buttons, snaps, hooks and eyes, bar-tacks, zigzags, satin stitch, trim stitches, darns and mends, monograms, blind stitches, appliqués, overcasts and embroiders.
