Up for consideration is perhaps one of the rarest 43200 machines ever produced. The pretty much unheard of 43200J this is a custom edition 43200JZ(z suffix denotes a custom built machine) This machine is a beautiful 3rd generation machine and is in unbelievable condition. The internals of the machine look like brand new. I am liquidating ALL my sewing equipment and was going to keep this machine for myself but I already have several 43200's and this would be more than redundant. There is some cosmetic wear on this machine but it is very minimal. There is a slight defect on the left side plate where the needle bar cover closes but it has no effect on the closure of the needle bar cover and cannot be seen when the cover is closed. The original orange oil paper covering on the needle plate is still intact. Which gives you an indication of ... morehow little use this machine has seen. This is the same style machine that DC4 uses to hem their pants. It is essentially a modified 43200G machine, it has a smaller foot and feed dogs, if you really wanted to a new needle plate, feed dogs, and foot could be added to make it just like a brand new 43200G but it is not necessary all you will need to do is source a folder from Atlanta or NY attachment companies. Offered is a Merrow Style 60 WD heavy duty industrial serger sewing machine. I picked this up at an auction where a business was liquidating all of there industrial sewing machines. This was still in use at the time. There is also a name plate with Lawrence M. Stein Co. 815 West Van Buren St. Chicago on it. I am assuming this is the business that sold it originally. Or was a sewing company. It has three areas for thread as well as two needles still intact. The oiler stack has a pat date of 3-30-15 on it. It also has a number painted on it on the back side which I believe was the work station number. Other than some dust and textile fibers on it, it is in great working condition. This is a heavy unit. I am calling this a non-working machine that has good visual appeal. When I had it hooked up to the motor. It did not turn. Now that I have it dismantled, it does turn manually and the bobbin does its thing. I can only figure that the belt was not tight enough when I tried it with the motor. Only the sewing machine as pictured is included. Not the motor. The previous owner said she stopped using it about 2 years ago. Giving up her hobby as she approaches 90 years old. She can probably still sew circles around most folks, but managing the stairs to her basement and handling bolts of cloth likely became too much of a challenge for her. Here is a Merrow trade mark industrial sewing machine. The style is 60 BW and the serial#51570. I really don't know much about this machine or if it is working. Could be used for parts or repair. The handle turns easily. The machine needs a good cleaning. Shows signs of rust, scratches, and some paint missing. Nice collectible item for the right collector. Vintage Merrow industrial sewing machine Style 60JDC Serger overlock
This is a Merrow industrial serger sewing machine Model 60 JDC. It turns freely by hand. But is otherwise untested. It has been sitting for a while. When the flywheel is given a sharp twist, it turns about 3/4 to 7/8 of a rotation before coming to a stop, so the machine needs some cleaning/lubrication. There is a little surface rust on some of the chrome parts, as well as some rust on the base of the machine. Also, there are two machine screws missing from the end of the machine above the needle(see 4th photo) Also, the needle is broken. We did not see any other issues. But please examine the photos carefully, We are not knowledgable about this machine.
