We are auctioning this heavy duty straight stitch- reverse sewing machine. Model# URR 188 made in Japan, in the 1950s. These sewing machine models are all-steel geared, precision built, very powerful with its 1.3 amp motor, super smooth running, made to last a lifetime. It's a strong straight stitch. Reverse feed sewing. The feed dog can be easily dropped for freehand sewing, darning, silk, embroidery and quilting. With this machine you can sew lightweight, medium& heavy weight fabrics, will sew multiple layers of denim, vinyl and canvas, garment leather is no problem either. My sewed samples consist of 3 layers of leather and 10 layers of denim, sewed them with ease and nice clean tight stitches, very nice machine in good condition, has visible scuffs on the deck. This is a Pfaff heavy duty sewing machine model 139 in excellent working condition. A highly versatile machine designed to sew a wide variety of materials from lightweight up to and including moderately heavy materials such as tarps. Sunbrella, tents, boat covers, suede, denim, upholstery to light leather. It is a high shank, straight and zigzag stitch machine with reverse and offers 5/16" space under its' foot. It runs smooth and strong. Included are two bobbins, bobbin case, foot controller and three foot attachments along with the stitch samples. It has a working light. This machine was made in Western Germany and the serial number 8067839 dates this to 1964.
