In good vintage condition. Made of tin. And a wood plunger. The handle has the original paint on it, a greyish blue color. It looks in workable condition, but I did not test it. Up for auction is an 8 quart cast iron antique Enterprise sausage stuffer/ fruit press. It has 2 patent dates of 1876 and 1883. There is nothing broken. Chipped, cracked or repaired. The crank operates smoothly from top to bottom. It comes as shown in the pics with no other attachments or parts. Any attachment you might need can be found on eBay. Vintage Enterprise 2 QT. No. 15 Sausage stuffer press
Here I have a vintage sausage press from the Enterprise mfg. company with NO RESERVE! This was found in my grandfathers garage and is sold as is. The best I can tell is that it comes from the late 1800s. It does not include the strainer plate or strainer basket that originally came with it. It does come with the nozzle and coupler that goes on the front of it. I'm not sure the nozzle is useable. It's pretty bent up(see pics) There's some rust that would need to be addressed to restore it but otherwise it's in good shape and it seems to operate normally. This is all I can really tell you about it but if you have any question feel free to ask and I'll do my best to answer. I believe it is a 4 qt. unit? and appears complete with 2 cast iron press plates(1"Large" and other"Small" 2 removable handle/cranks(one is heavier duty than the other) metal strainer bucket(used for fruit) with a removable cast iron perforated bottom plate, cast iron spout coupling and brass spout. Unit is in as found used working condition. The press plate marked small(for use with the strainer tub) has an older welded repair and operates fine(see pics) No other breaks or cracks to unit. Needs a good cleaning and oiling. Unit is approx. 29 in. tall by approx. 16 in. across to tip of wooden handle on crank.

These things are amazing and so well built. The heavy mechanical press is cast iron. The gears. Cast iron. The grate, cast iron. The crank handle, cast iron. Besides its gorgeous high relief lettering and mammoth round 8 quart barrel, which make it a great decoration, this thing has a lot of years utility still left in it. Believe it or not the still make these things but the new ones(which for all intensive purposes are identical tech) are approximately $600. If you are looking for a nice alternative for an all silver duck press, this is it. It would look just fine in a restaurant setting and is just at home in ma and pa's kitchen. One thing that is nice about it is that it has a longer handle than the smaller models and is easier to crank without it walking around on you. Additionally the handle is less interfering with presentation ... morethan a hand turn round cork screw of a formal duck press. The chef need not look like he is sports training, if you ever used a formal duck press, you know what I mean. The basket and nozzle on this item is perfectly fine but if you are looking for brand new baskets and nozzles, chop-rite sells them. This is a nice press that has been kept in an industrial steampunk motif where the patina. Rivets and gears have a nice aesthetic appeal for decorators and restaurateurs who don't want the old black and gold look so common. It is a nice red and blue so it is perfect all American décor. It works fine and can be used with the existing basket and strainer plate. Commercially one might look into Chop-Rite spares on the basket that would allow it to be as functionally desirable as possible. The basket is fine for home use but the welds on the tabs are not 100% see the pictures) and would likely become an issue with heavy use. What you see is what you get. I don't have any backup plates and such. Just a really fun item.

THIS AUCTION IS FOR A VINTAGE 8 QT. ALUMINUM BUTCHERS' MFG. PROD. LARD PRESS IN GOOD CONDITION. IT COMES WITH EVERYTHING YOU SEE& EVERYTHING IS IN GREAT WORKING ORDER. THE ALUMINUM BASKET CAN BE REMOVED AND WASHED IN YOUR DISHWASHER FOR EASY CLEANING. THE WHITE PLATE IS AN UNBREAKABLE SAUSAGE GASKET THAT HAS BEEN CUSTOM FITTED FOR THIS PRESS. HERE IS HOW IT WORKS. It just makes it more sanitary when the sausage stays inside the press when you crank down on it. Keeping the sausage from oozing out the side of the plate. Just fill the stuffer as usual, lay the gasket on top of the sausage and crank down, the gasket acts like a spatula wiping the sides and keeping most of the the sausage from leaking out around the plate. Then when it's all the way down, just uncrank, open the stuffer and with the large center hole it's easy to ... morejust pick it up, fill the stuffer again, lay it back on the top of the sausage, close the stuffer and your ready to crank down again. Vintage Enterprise Sausage Stuffer Fruit Wine Lard Apple Press 4 Quart Parts Lot
Up for auction is a vintage Enterprise Sausage Stuffer 4 quart parts lot: 1 handle that measures 8 ¼” long. The wood piece measures 4 ½” long. There is a square tapered hole on top to fit onto the arch. The wood handle has some splits. Please check pictures. 1 arch for top of stuffer with gears and threaded rod. The arch at the base measures 9 ¾” end to end. The arch has Enterprise Mfg. Co. Phila. U.S.A. on one side and other side has Patented April 10 1883 on the top and bottom has Pat July 11 1876. The threaded rod measures 14 ½” long. 2 bolts that connect the yolk to the bottom– 1 measures 8 ¾” long and other bolt measures 9” long.
