The metal has a nice even coat of oxidation that looks great as is or would restore very nicely. It comes with 2 different sized plates. Basket, strainer and sausage tube. This is a number 5 two quart Enterprise Sausage Stuffer and Lard press. This is a very old press and it has no spout or nut or large plate. It does have the small plate and the bottom plate and the screen. This has been cleaned and painted and is in very good shape. I think the number 5 was the first two quart made by Enterprise and it is different than the later ones. The handle has some nicks in it as shown. This is marked Pat July 11. 1876. This brochure is not dated but looks to be from the 1890s so I'd date it to around 1895 or so. The machine is titled C.W. Hottman's Patent Steam Stuffer and the R.T. Randall& Company of Philadelphia is listed as sole agents. Antique ENTERPRISE MFG. No.35 Sausage Stuffer Patented APRIL 10. 1888, and JULY 11, 1876. This piece is in absolutely beautiful condition. There is a little chipped paint and rust around one of the feet and a couple scratches. The lady I bought this from said this came out of her grandfathers general store and has been in her basement sense they closed the store and that it was in all original condition. Except she did say that her husband cleaned the rust off of the small plate. Everything works nice and smooth, the handle has no damage. The only thing I did to it is wipe the dust off. Please see all the pictures as they are a big part of the condition and description. This is very heavy 49 lbs plus the reinforced box or crate so the shipping might be a little high but I don't make anything on shipping so what it cost is what you will ... morepay. Up for auction is an antique 4 quart Enterprise sausage stuffer/ fruit press in very good condition. It comes with all the parts shown in the pics. It has been sand blasted. Primed and painted satin black with gold lettering. It has 2 patent dates of 1876 and 1883. There are no breaks or repairs anywhere on the cast iron. The wood handle has been cracked and repaired with epoxy and seems solid. The crank turns freely with no issues and the gears are in good shape. The inside was sand blasted but not painted.

Excellent Original Sausage Stuffer with Great Art 8 Qt No 35 Enterprise This is a very beautiful Sausage Stuffer with nice original art. I have not seen this flower pattern in a long time. You don't want to miss it. Different than most. It has been thoroughly cleaned, including the shaft with a wire wheel, the feet were rusted have been repainted. The external has all been clear coated to prevent corrosion and enhance beauty. The inside has a bees wax applied to it and has most of the original paint. The shaft has been completely cleaned with a wire wheel, not bead blasted and has been coated in a thin beeswax as well. This machine is beautiful and works smoothly and brings a nice homey charm. I prefer this to the ones that are completely refinished, plus you can't reproduce this art. The screen has been polished and the strainer ... moreplate is in pretty good condition. I do not have a small plate for it, these you can get for about 30.00 all day long on ebay. I have up for sale wonderful antique patent dated 1897 National Specialty Mfg Co 4 quart Cast Iron Sausage stuffer/ wine press. It comes with both the small and large press plates. The strainer plate and basket, spout horn and holder. There is one additional part that I have not seen before, its some sort of fastening device but I am not sure how it was intended to be used. Firstly the stuffer is in Outstanding Original Condition! There are no damages: no breaks. No cracks, no repaints, the stencil and paint is original and in great shape, the only wear to the paint to speak of is located on the lower front of the tub near and around the tub's hole. The stuffer cranks easily and smoothly as well. You may need to clean the interior of the tub prior to use. This is a very easy stuffer to clean because the tub removes so easily. Much easier ... morethan an Enterprise. I am not sure what the function of the latch has, it does not hold anything from moving so I do not understand what its intended usefulness is. In good vintage condition. Made of tin. And a wood plunger. The handle has the original paint on it, a greyish blue color. It looks in workable condition, but I did not test it. I completely broke this down and gave it an electrolysis cleaning and gave it a light seasoning as you would a cast iron skillet. This is a#6 press which is a little more rare because all you see is 4's and 8's. There are no breaks. Cracks or repairs done to this press. This is usable or for someone's collection. It comes complete with all the accessories: both the large and small press plates, strainer basket and bottom plate, horn spout and lock nut,etc. This is a Top of the Line Outfit, none nicer than this model. Its all original and in just superb shape. The small plate is approx 7-7/8" and the large plate approx 8-1/8" the small one fits inside the basket, obviously the larger one does not. The stuffer is in Outstanding Original Condition! There are no damages: no breaks. No cracks, no repairs, etc-the paint appears to be original and is in great shape. There is some normal minor light wear as one would expect but overall its a dandy. The stuffer cranks easily and smoothly. This is the 1 model of Cider/Duck Press made by Enterprise Manufacturing Co. Out of Philadelphia. The model is marked with a patent date and another date: April 10, 1883 and July 11 1876. Has that nice used appeal of an antique model and lots of character to it. This comes with the sausage stuffer attachments. No damage that I can see. Some light corosion here or there as shown, but most of the detail of the gold band is still there on the base of the press.

From what the family says she was 93 and bought this when it was brand new, she had past in 2013 so she would have been born in 1920. I broke this completely down and gave it a good electrolysis cleaning and seasoned it as you would a cast iron skillet. There are no cracks, chips or breaks in this piece and I gave it my own little touch on the decor. This is a complete set. National was a branch off of the Enterprise in 1897, it was believed that one of the employees from Enterprise wanted to simplify the sausage stuffer apart from The Enterprise way of manufacturing. Hence the bucket being removable which made it easier to clean, but the basic concept of it is the same as the Enterprise. Works good with no chips or cracks and is complete with all the parts that came with one of these. we cleaned it up pretty good but still needs cleaned some and will have some very minor rust that will remove easily. This is the big one that you don't have to be loading all the time. I am going to pack it right away so if i clean it without greasing it it will rust up slightly while waiting to be sold. Weighs 50 lbs before packing and will be even heavier once I double box it for shipping. Even though cast iron is extremely tough it is not impact resistant so it needs padded well. Complete with large plate. Small plate, spout, nut, basket and sieve plate. IT IS COMPLETE AND ALL ORIGINAL WITH ITS STRAINER PLATE AND BASKET, PRESS PLATE, NUT& STUFFING NOZZLE. IT HAS BEEN CLEANED AND REPAINTED, WORKS GREAT AND IS READY FOR ANOTHER 100 YEARS OF SERVICE. THE ONLY FLAW WE CAN FIND IS A STRESS CRACK IN THE WOOD HANDLE ON THE CRANK WHICH DOESN'T EFFECT ITS USE AND SHOULD LAST FOR MANY YEARS. Large and small plates, spout and nut, and 4 screws for mounting to a surface. Front upper area has a"V" shaped area of missing/chipped cast iron. does not affect performance or strength/integrity of piece(see last pic) Used most recently for grapes, works well!
