Excellent Original Sausage Stuffer with Great Art 8 Qt No 35 Enterprise This is a very beautiful Sausage Stuffer with nice original art. I have not seen this flower pattern in a long time. You don't want to miss it. Different than most. It has been thoroughly cleaned, including the shaft with a wire wheel, the feet were rusted have been repainted. The external has all been clear coated to prevent corrosion and enhance beauty. The inside has a bees wax applied to it and has most of the original paint. The shaft has been completely cleaned with a wire wheel, not bead blasted and has been coated in a thin beeswax as well. This machine is beautiful and works smoothly and brings a nice homey charm. I prefer this to the ones that are completely refinished, plus you can't reproduce this art. The screen has been polished and the strainer ... moreplate is in pretty good condition. I do not have a small plate for it, these you can get for about 30.00 all day long on ebay. The threads that hold the plate on are in very good condition and not sloppy or stripped as is sometimes the case. The brass ring on the handle has a split in it. This is not important. Works good with no chips or cracks and is complete with all the parts that came with one of these. we cleaned it up pretty good but still needs cleaned some and will have some very minor rust that will remove easily. This is the big one that you don't have to be loading all the time. I am going to pack it right away so if i clean it without greasing it it will rust up slightly while waiting to be sold. Weighs 50 lbs before packing and will be even heavier once I double box it for shipping. Even though cast iron is extremely tough it is not impact resistant so it needs padded well. Complete with large plate. Small plate, spout, nut, basket and sieve plate. Beautiful Complete & Clean Old 8 Qt Enterprise Fruit Press w/Sausage Stuffer
This is a beautiful example of a really high quality old press. It's an 8 quart Enterprise from Philadelphia. It hasn't been touched up or refinished. Some of the old stencilling remains faintly visible. There are no cracks. Chips, or mechanical problems. It's complete with both the large diameter and small diameter cast iron plates, the cast iron plate with holes, tin strainer(if that's what you'd call it-I don't know) and finally the sausage stuffer tube and nut. I don't know if the tube is original or not but it will work. The nut appears to be original and it locks on tightly with a half turn clockwise. This press is very clean. I gently, yet thoroughly, cleaned it with soap and water as if I was going to use it myself. It wasn't all that dirty but it still took me a long time. After I cleaned it I oiled ... moreit with food safe mineral oil. All you'd need to do is give it a rinse before using it. You should periodically oil the gear shafts as necessary(I like to use mineral oil) The main frame, not counting the screw is about 19" tall to the top of the arch. It weighs 49 1/2 pounds total before packing for shipping. If you need more photos I would be glad to send them. It's a very nice clean example. Antique large 8 quart enterprise sausage stuffer cider press. Marked Philla Pa April 10 1883 and July 11 1876. The plate and upper portion of this has been repaired as can be seen in photo this was either broken or cracked but has been re-welded and all works fine. This does not include basket nor smaller plate but does have stuffer horn nut and cracklin plate along with large plate wood handle has crack as can be seen in photo. This was recently cleaned and seasoned. Other than repaired areas previously disclosed this is a pretty nice stuffer and would be excellent for use in any butcher shop.
