Up for offer a NATIONAL SPECIALTY M FG. CO. SAUSAGE STUFFER. Made in Phill. Pa. U.S.A. Patt date of Sep 14, 1879. Also has screen insert for pressing fruits for wine. Was used for pressing lard in the old da ys. This Cast Iron Press is in great shape there are no scratches. Dents, or repairs, looks to be the original handle, I did some cleaning on it and sprayed it with cooking spray to keep from any more rust, there is a bit of surface rust on the inside. With a bit of elbow grea se will look like new. Most of the Paint is missing looks like this was a worker in it s time. The Gears move easy and the whole thing opens with a little pressure. I have up for sale wonderful antique patent dated 1897 National Specialty Mfg Co 4 quart Cast Iron Sausage stuffer/ wine press. It comes with both the small and large press plates. The strainer plate and basket, spout horn and holder. There is one additional part that I have not seen before, its some sort of fastening device but I am not sure how it was intended to be used. Firstly the stuffer is in Outstanding Original Condition! There are no damages: no breaks. No cracks, no repaints, the stencil and paint is original and in great shape, the only wear to the paint to speak of is located on the lower front of the tub near and around the tub's hole. The stuffer cranks easily and smoothly as well. You may need to clean the interior of the tub prior to use. This is a very easy stuffer to clean because the tub removes so easily. Much easier ... morethan an Enterprise. I am not sure what the function of the latch has, it does not hold anything from moving so I do not understand what its intended usefulness is. I have an up close view shown in one of my pics. The stuffer stands approx 17" tall with the screw all the way down. It weighs well over 30 lbs. I will package with great care. I have up for sale wonderful antique circa early 1900s Landers. Frary, Clark UNIVERSAL 8 Quart Sausage Stuffer/ wine, fruit, lard,cider,press. It comes complete with all the accessories: both the large and small press plates, strainer basket and bottom plate, horn spout and lock nut,etc. This is a Top of the Line Outfit, none nicer than this model. Its all original and in just superb shape. The small plate is approx 7-7/8" and the large plate approx 8-1/8" the small one fits inside the basket, obviously the larger one does not. The stuffer is in Outstanding Original Condition! There are no damages: no breaks. No cracks, no repairs, etc-the paint appears to be original and is in great shape. There is some normal minor light wear as one would expect but overall its a dandy. The stuffer cranks easily and smoothly. This is a very easy ... morestuffer to clean because the tub removes so easily. All you have to do is unlock the side latch and spin it out. I would advise screwing the feet down on a nice solid wood board, to make the base less tippy. This is a big and heavy piece. It weighs approx 51 as you see it. I will package with great care. Hello.Up for auction is a fully functioning antique cast iron Enterprise Mfg Co. 4 quart sausage stuffer, or press. All parts are there(removable handle, small plate, large plate, stainer basket, strainer plate, original aluminum sausage stuffer spout, with cast iron nut) It is in as found condition. The basket holds 4 quarts and measures about 7" high and 7" in diameter. The entire apparatus is about 24" tall when fully open. This device is fully functioning, the gears and handle easily turn, and it easily opens and closes. Vintage Enterprise Deluxe Cast Iron Fruit/Lard Press Sausage Stuffer - 8Qt No.35
Exactly like Grandma used to use. Made in the USA and of cast iron. It can be the new family heirloom for generations to come. This unit holds 8 liquid quarts which equates to approximately 16 pounds of meat. Unit quickly disassembles for easy cleaning and comes with a single 3/4" metal spout(hog casings) The Deluxe model doubles as a fruit and lard press as well as sausage stuffer. Also comes with a stainless steel strainer basket, small and large plunger plates. Possibly the oldest name in USA-made sausage stuffers and grinders would be Enterprise Manufacturing. Now known as Chop-Rite. There are still Enterprise stuffers and grinders in use today, some over 100 years old! They are built to last and are made of cast iron and other quality materials from the original designs. Bought in the mid-1900's, the Enterprise Manufacturing ... morecompany was renamed to Chop-Rite Mfg. Using the same design as the original Enterprise stuffers and grinders, parts are interchangeable with the older equipment. This Chop-Rite is used and shows signs of wear. But it is still in overall excellent condition, especially considering its age. The only things of consequence to mention are that there is a little rust on different components of the unit. Everything I know to remove rust shouldn’t be used on food preparation items. So I haven’t cleaned it off. I would recommend you plan to thoroughly clean this item prior to use, just like you should with all food preparation items. This unit is mounted on a wooden board and I will ship it attached. Antique 4 QT Cast Iron Enterprise Fruit, Lard, Wine Press, Sausage Stuffer 1876
For your consideration is a fully functioning antique cast iron Enterprise Mfg Co. 4 quart sausage stuffer. Or press. Parts include a press plate, strainer basket, strainer plate, and press. This was an estate find over 10 years ago and has been carefully stored until now. The basket holds 4 quarts and measures about 7" high and 7" in diameter. The entire apparatus is about 24" tall when fully open. The lettering design of this press is unique in that the letters were not pressed into the iron like most of the of their units. Rather the letter is free standing adding a unique and artistic design. This device is fully functioning. The gears and handle easily turn, and it easily opens and closes. The metal has great patina. The black wood handle is in great condition with no cracks. There is a small crack on the inside of the ... morecast which is why the repair strap was added. Here is a complete vintage cast iron press. This is in very nice original condition. I am not sure of the quart size. But it is 14" in height. Cranks and turns very easily. The threaded rod is very nice shape also with no rust. The old original box it was in was mailed in from Minnesota during 1958 is also included.

Solid cross grain laminated wood base with all the parts present. The seam on the strainer screen is weak but works and the sausage tube looks to be a piece of conduit with a flare put on the end. Fresh from a central Indiana estate comes this 2 gallon sized Enterprise Cast Iron sausage stuffer or lard press. Seems to be complete with the screen. The foot, the plate on top, no outlet pipie and has the ring to attach it. It does have a crack in the shaft where the screw comes down, it has been repaired with a hose clamp and seems to function properly. I will have to remove it from the bench it is mounted on. Wooden handle on the crank and this one that you will enjoy using, especially if you enjoy making your own sausage meats. We're not sure of the capacity of this press however the strainer basket measures 5" in diameter and 5" tall.perhaps you can calculate the volume. This is a great TABLE TOP size! The entire unit measures approximately 10" at its widest point) and is 20" tall. Would also make a great decorative piece! Some of the original green decorative paint remains on the body of the unit.
