For sale is a Antique or Vintage#25 Enterprise 4 QT Sausage Stuffer- Lard. Fruit, or Wine Press. It is in very nice shape for it's age and in very good working order. It is complete with basket and bottom plate. Has the large and small plates along with nut and spout. Main body has a good amount of original paint. The inside is in good shape also, has been used which helps. Decided to sell some of my collection of these so check back in the coming weeks as I will be listing more types of Enterprises. MFD.I acquired this at a local estate sale, and thought it was so cool, just to display. But with some sap and water.a little elbow grease I bet this could be functional again. Up for offer a NATIONAL SPECIALTY M FG. CO. SAUSAGE STUFFER. Made in Phill. Pa. U.S.A. Patt date of Sep 14, 1879. Also has screen insert for pressing fruits for wine. Was used for pressing lard in the old da ys. This Cast Iron Press is in great shape there are no scratches. Dents, or repairs, looks to be the original handle, I did some cleaning on it and sprayed it with cooking spray to keep from any more rust, there is a bit of surface rust on the inside. With a bit of elbow grea se will look like new. Most of the Paint is missing looks like this was a worker in it s time. The Gears move easy and the whole thing opens with a little pressure. This is heavy. Weighs in at 46 pound. Was picked at Estate Auction with a lot of nicely kept items. Will ma k e a great addition to an y collection. Thanks for looking and Good Luck! You are viewing a Rare Antique 4 Qt. National Sausage Stuffer Lard/Wine Fruit Cider Press Complete. This was bought at an estate auction. From what the family says she was 93 and bought this when it was brand new, she had past in 2013 so she would have been born in 1920. I broke this completely down and gave it a good electrolysis cleaning and seasoned it as you would a cast iron skillet. There are no cracks, chips or breaks in this piece and I gave it my own little touch on the decor. This is a complete set. National was a branch off of the Enterprise in 1897, it was believed that one of the employees from Enterprise wanted to simplify the sausage stuffer apart from The Enterprise way of manufacturing. Hence the bucket being removable which made it easier to clean, but the basic concept of it is the same as the Enterprise. Antique 4 QT Cast Iron Enterprise Fruit, Lard, Wine Press, Sausage Stuffer 1876
For your consideration is a fully functioning antique cast iron Enterprise Mfg Co. 4 quart sausage stuffer. Or press. Parts include a press plate, strainer basket, strainer plate, and press. This was an estate find over 10 years ago and has been carefully stored until now. The basket holds 4 quarts and measures about 7" high and 7" in diameter. The entire apparatus is about 24" tall when fully open. The lettering design of this press is unique in that the letters were not pressed into the iron like most of the of their units. Rather the letter is free standing adding a unique and artistic design. This device is fully functioning. The gears and handle easily turn, and it easily opens and closes. The metal has great patina. The black wood handle is in great condition with no cracks. There is a small crack on the inside of the ... morecast which is why the repair strap was added.
