Up for auction is a classic vintage look at the most accomplished gunslingers of the Old West. Entitled HANDS UP! Stories of the Six-Gun Fighters of the Old Wild West. As told by Fred E. Sutton and written down by A.B. Macdonald. Published by the A.L. Burt Company in New York circa 1927. Contains 15 illustrations. Mainly of gunfighters such as Pat Garret, Wild Bill Hickok, Bat Masterson, Frank and Jesse James, Billy the Kid and others. Macdonald writes in the introduction that he approached Sutton after a Oklahoma City homesteaders parade(Sutton had won the horse race to get a homestead in 1889) and asked him to relate his memories to him. Sutton obliged, and the product is a fascinating look into the exciting lives of the bandits and lawmen who both made wild and tamed the American West. This image is coated with a silicone rubber molding material that makes two rubber mold halves(each rubber mold has a front and a back piece) A fiberglass outer shell is added to the back of each mold so it retains its shape and rigidity during subsequent uses. Vintage Antique Buffalo Bill Letter Opener Wild West Souvenir Old
This is a vintage antique letter opener with embossed designs on both sides featuring Buffalo Bill. The Buffalo Bill Museum. And Buffalo Bill's Tomb. I'm not sure of it's age, but my guess is it was sold at the museum in the 1920's or 30's. It's in good condition with light surface rust and tarnish. Shelley England Globe teapot 'wild rose spray' with pink trim - very pretty
THIS SHELLEY ENGLISH TEA POT IS AS PRETTY AS THEY COME SHELLEY GLOBE SHAPE TEAPOT WITH TRADITIONAL ENGLISH FLORAL SPRAY DECORATION 7 PINK TRIM Date:Mid 20th Century(1945-1966) When describing Shelley the words'very pretty' often come to mind and this delightful tea pot is a classic example of why that is. It is the'Globe' shape. But we haven't been able to track down the name of the pattern. As you will see from the pictures, the central spray decoration features roses. We think they are wild roses, partly because of the leaves and partly because they have been grouped with Forgetmenots, Buttercups and Foxgloves, which are typically English wild flowers. However, the same flowers also appear in traditional English cottage gardens so your guess will be as good as ours. There are many examples of Shelley trios and tableware ... moreon Ebay. But tea pots in good condition like this are much harder to find; their spouts, lids and rims are very susceptible to damage over time. Although we suspect that most buyers will want it for display. It also remains a practical piece of tableware. Details The tea pot measures 3.25in/8.5cm between the outer edges of its mouth. It stands nearly 4in/10cm high to the top of the handle. The total weight is 350g. The style of back stamp dates it accurately to between 1945 and 1966(pic 6) Condition Although an example of post-War Shelley. It is at least half a Century old and it has obviously received plenty of TLC because it remains in very good condition. The absence of staining inside the tea pot suggests it has only been used for display. There are no chips or cracks or even age related crazing and we can spot no evidence of restoration. 1892 Royal Worcester hand painted plate This beautiful and decorative plate produced in the 19th Century by Royal Worcester Porcelain from England. The plate measures approximately 9¼ inches in diameter. Plate is decorated with wild flowers what has gold brown and gold green leaves on the white glazed ground. The flowers and leaves have gold accents. The plate has a two gold-trimmed rims on gold brown edge. The detail and shading on this plate is wonderful. The plate is in very good condition with no chips. Cracks or restoration. However there is a few light scratches and light gold wear on the rim and edge. What is conducive with age.
