Pentax PTS-III 05 Digital Total Station for Surveying - Super Clean Shape!
This is a Pentax PTS-III-05 Electronic Total Station. These are used for surveying and other purposes. The Total Station is in very clean condition with barely any signs of use! The case is in good shape as well. Two of the legs on the bottom of the case broke off but it stands up just fine. The hinges and both locking clasps are in perfect operating order. The unit powers on properly when power is applied(I tested with 8.4vdc right to the battery contacts on the top of the handle) It passes it's self-check perfectly and after moving the vertical scope the unit provides readings. When moved horizontally or vertically the unit provides readings on both the front& rear displays. Both displays are in excellent condition with no missing elements. All buttons are responding properly. All locking knobs and fine-controls are working properly. ... moreAll bubble levels are working. Tribrach adjustments work perfectly as well. Optics are super clean through the main telescope as well as the optical plummet. The unit has a data port on it for external interfacing as well. Please note that this unit comes with a rechargeable battery. The battery is used and sold with no guarantees on battery life or longevity. I do not have a charger for this battery, although using a volt-meter I can tell that the battery still holds a charge although it is not enough to power the unit on. No charger included. For sale is a Pentax PCS-325 total station in great condition! Included with the instrument is a charger and single battery both in working order. The battery charges quickly and holds a full charge. The instrument itself is in great shape. The scope glass and optical plummet glass are flawless. The digital display screens and buttons are in perfect working order on both sides of the instrument. Pentax included several great on board coordinate stake out features in the PCS-325 that can be used without a data collector if you need to take a few quick measurements or data collection. The Instrument levels up via tribrach coarse level and fine scope level without a problem. I used this as my back up lately but don't use it enough to justify keeping it.
