Antique Wooden Surveyors Range Finder Leveling Pole Line, Sliding Target
This is an early surveyors range finder leveling rod/pole made of wood. It consists of two long slats which are a little over 5' that are joined with metal hardware. The back slat slides up to extend the height of the pole to approximatley 10' A round wooden sliding target can be moved up and down the pole and is held with a metal pin. The stationary slat is marked and numbered(see picture) There are a few paint spatters and also a few splits in the wood. But overall this old piece is in very good condition for age.
