I used this instrument for laying out foundations during my construction days and now it needs a new home. I bought this 3 years ago and do not have a need for it anymore. The optics are in excellent shape and all movements are very fluid. From what I have researched. It was built in 1966 in Switzerland. It has the vinyl protective cover and a"toothpick like" tool for making adjustments. Looks like it was taken care of with the exception of the Orange paint on the cover. I don't know much about these devices other than its used for surveying. I have no instructions nor any documentation about its calibration. The serial number can be confirmed via the internet.this is model N2. It's built very solid and was a great conversation piece. No warranties written nor expressed.sold as is. But it is probably from the late 1970s to early 1980s. It has been in our closet for more than 30 years. It appears to be in good working order. I got this Level from my father-in-law who is an architect. We don't know much about it. I've done some research and I also took it out and acquired an object down the street and was able to get a sharp image- even at night. It includes everything pictured. The Serial number is: 518416. I assume it was made sometime in the 1980s. The only issue I noticed with it. Aside from a few minor scuffs and wear marks from it's box, is that the reticle(I'm not sure what else to call this) seems to have a minor blotch towards the bottom- it almost looks like dried condensation or something. As I said, I was still able to look through it and focus the level. I'm sure it could use a clean/check and calibration. What you see is what you get- as-is. The transit is in excellent. Virtually new, condition. I can find no damage or defects of any type on the transit. The optics are superb and clear from edge to edge. The carry case has numerous scrapes, scratches and abrasions. This is the best protected precision instrument I’ve ever seen.
