The 25" surveying pole has scuffs and scratches. The bag it goes in is dirty but holds the pole just fine. This set is all used but was well taken care of. All the straps are intact and still work. Comes with a screw mount on the top that"does" fit the 190B Level scope but not sure if something is missing. Since I was not able to completly tighted down the scope to the top of the mount. Serial No. 65 so oldest known transit by L&V. First year of production 1907, rare W. Coast maker, only known mining transit by L&V. Mountain size. 7" scope, 3 1/8" compass needle, and 4 7/8" plate. Optics good. 3 wire cross hairs good, All motions good. Cool big tripod missing one foot end and cool triangle shaped and unusual loading box. Missing one of the little caps for the spring loaded fine tangent screw motion. Cap that holds the spring in. This transit had the vertical arc damaged(NOTE: this transit resembles a Berger so the vert. arc from a Berger might fit right) See photos. Missing the sunshades and one of the little posts that holds the sunshade. Does not have aux. mining scope but the threads are standard mining scope threads. Topcon Transit AT-F6 and Tripod
I got this transit and tripod at an estate sale and have never personally used them. I'm selling them as untested. They may or may not work like they're supposed to. I looked through the lens on the transit and could see through it but there were a could of specks I couldn't wipe off so maybe they're internal? or they could be external. The tripod and transit are dirty and could use a good cleaning. I'm not planning on doing any more cleaning on them before shipping so you'll receive them as is. As far as the rest of the condition goes the pics say it all so zoom in and take a closer look. I've never removed the transit from the tripod so I'll be shipping it with the transit attached to the tripod as pictured.

When the transit is in the pocket the transit is held in by leather flap that is held closed by the tripod top. I have not seen one on here that has this case. Also there is an owners tag on tripod that this item was part of a school study called project Kane in Blue Bell. Pa. I googled this and found a PDF file on line. The leater case is in fine condition and made of heave thick leather. The Transit is in fine working condition as is the tripod. C L BERGER& SONS BRASS TRANSIT with TRIPOD and CASE. 1950's Beautiful CL Berger Surveyors transit with tripod and original box. Serial number is 291259 which I believe dates it to the 1950's. The tripod is in nice condition. There is some tape around the top of one leg, I didn't remove the tape t check underneath. The transit is beautiful, I cant get a good picture when I look thru the lens, not sure if there is a problem with the lens or I'm doing something wrong, so I believe this is a decorative piece. The glass compass is in exc. shape, all levels are nice and filled with fluid, there are not any noticeable dings or scrapes on the transit. Antique 1928 Dietzgen Survey Transit Level - Tripod - Wood Case - 14' Grade Rod
Very nice antique 1928 Dietzgen model 14186 black and brass transit and case with tripod and early grade rod. The transit is in very good condition. Slight wear to the top of the piece from use, seems to still be in perfect working order. The wooden case is also in very good condition along with the leather strap and contains a tag with product information from a previous owner. The tripod is a Charvoz No A-37 from Japan, this came with the transit but is not original to it. The grade rod is a 14' survey rod, very old and good condition but the makers label is worn and I can't read it. Excellent antique surveyor's set, would be a wonderful display! You are bidding on a nice vintage L.S. Starrett. Company No. 101-A Leveling Instrument. This was made in Athol, Mass. I do not know the age of this item. It comes in the original box, with the tripod, level, plumb bob, and transit. The level contains liquid and has the bubble. It has been used and the metal is pitted, but item seems to be in working order. The site has no glass(I don't know if it is supposed to) but does have the site markers. Item shows some rust, but knobs turn easily and even I could set it up. Item comes in the original dovetailed wooden box with the label. But does not come with the manual. Antique Heller & Brightley Philadelphia Wood Survey Transit Level Tripod Stand
This is an antique HELLER& BRIGHTLEY. Philadelphia, wood survey transit or level tripod stand. When closed. It measures 59 inches tall. The round metal piece on top measures 4 1/8 inches wide. I'm not sure what type of metal the fittings are made of. But they appear to be brass. I believe the top round piece is white metal, though it appears to be very strong. The three pieces on the bottom are made of iron, and they have both pitting and rust on them. But they are very sturdy. There is a piece of strong canvas which is used to keep the three legs together on the bottom. There are numerous scratches. Scuff marks and dings to it. The piece needs a good polishing. This is common with these tripods. There are no breaks. Repairs or damage to it. It weighs a little over 13 pounds.

1930 Lietz Solar Mining Surveyors Transit + Box & Tripod 2 Aux. Scopes
This is a super rare items. A combination solar and mining transit and a nice adjustable tripod. In 23 years of collecting I have only even seen 1 other complete solar mining transit. All is well with it, optics and cross hairs are good, motions smooth and the cosmetic condition is excellent. It has a 11" scope. 3 1/2" compass needle, and 5" plate, and this transit reads to 30" of arc so is twice as accurate as a standard transit. Only negative is that the auxilliary mining scope is something I added so was not original to the transit(it is a little longer so does not fit in the place in the box for the mining scope) it is a nice cosmetic match and fits perfect but is from about 1925 so external focus and the transit scope from 1930 so internal focus. We are pleased to offer this wonderful Wild N10 Small Engineers' Level N10-121731E complete with it's original case. Tripod and plumb. I know very little about this item; this is what i found on the internet. It is an efficient compact and lightweight instrument. Giving highly accurate results under all conditions. It is suitable for general leveling, project studies, route surveys, irrigation works, civil and constructional engineering. When fitted with a glass circle(NK10) it can be used in flat terrain for tacheometric work and for measuring or setting-out horizontal angles. The line of sight is leveled with the aid of a tilting screw and the well known Wild"split-bubble" image system. It has an extremely short minimum focusing distance of 1 meter(3.3 feet) which is most useful. lt is possible to supply this instrument ... morewith an upright image telescope(models N10-E and NK10-E) a feature often appreciated by those who use their level only occasionally or who find it difficult to work with an inverted image. The E-models have a minimum focusing distance of 1.35 meters(4-5 feet) It is in good to very good used condition. Everything seems to work as it should. It was used in the field and show ware fromnormal use. The wood on the tripod is weathered and could use to be oiled or refinished. Tow od the metal hooks on the tripod's feet are broken but that does not effect the use of the tripod. There is a small canvas case that is attached to the inside of one of the tripod legs that has a metal"plum. String, hanger and a large winged metal nut. The original hard plastic case is also included and in good-to very good condition as well. The tripod even has it's original leather stap attached to oine the the legs that"buckles" the legs together, This/these item(s) are on dsiplay and for sale at a large antique co-op. Up for bid is a great antique oak Buff& Buff survey transit tripod. I believe the collar on the top will fit all transits made by Buff. I tried it on two of mine and it worked on both. The stand measures approximately 57 inches total from the metal tipped feet on the bottom to the bracket on the top. The transit is embossed BUFF at the top. The collar on the top has a diameter of approximately 3 inches. Overall the tripod is in good condition. It shows use and age. The finish on the wood shows moderate surface wear from age. The wood also shows small nicks and chips throughout the legs. The legs of the transit are a fixed length and do not have the ability to have their height adjusted. The metal tipped feet on the bottom show moderate surface rust but are still solid.
