You can still get these serviced(or parts) at a Sokkia dealer if there is ever a problem. 80-120M operating range(260-390' so you can level whatever you need on a big project. Besides the level, beam detector and rod clamp there is also an LRP1 protector for the beam detector and a very nice case to put it all in. Add your own tripod and grade rod. I bought this new and have had this for about 10 years without any problems. I have two and am keeping one of them. This has seen light use, probably 10-15 days per year in a busy year. I have done my best to take pictures of the important-looking parts of this instrument. But I am not a surveyor and I do not know anything about surveying equipment, so please let me know if there's any part I should include a picture of. The legs all extend to about double the height. I have looked through the lens. And light passes through it, but I do not know how to focus it. Also. The compass does not seem to move, but it could just be locked. Again, I am not sure.
