It was made by the Bostrom Brady Company of Atlanta Georgia and is in excellent original condition. The antique dovetailed case still has the leather strap at the top and the lenses are in great working order. It appears to be all there. The Tripod and 9 ft leveling Rod are also in great condition Vintage Surveyors Transit Level Bostrom Model#4 Offered ... morein this listing is a vintage piece of surveying equipment. This Bostrom Contractors’ Level is in its original oak dovetail box. The nameplate reads“Bostrom Surveying Instruments Model No. 4 Serial No. 158 Bostrom-Bradley Mfg. Co. Atlanta, Ga. The box is solid and in very good condition there are no cracks or missing pieces in the oak; the leather strap is broken but all there. The top and bottom of the box have some chips in the veneer. OLD BOSTROM NO 4 BRASS SURVEYORS LEVEL TRANSIT& CASE The brass telescope and level vial are intact however there is a crack in the brass tube holding the level(looks like a stress crack started at the screws holding the level in) It looks like this could be replaced with another piece of brass tubing at the discretion of the new owner. The rotating base holding the telescope is divided into four quadrants at 90 degrees each; the lowest brass band has match marks for 0, 30, and 60 degrees. The middle brass band is marked with the company name. There is a plumb bob, cord, a brass attachment(painted black) for the telescope and an instruction booklet. The set is in“as found” condition. This is a Santa Fe Auto-Veyor. Trailer Train with 3 tiers/levels. Car/ground level, plus 2 additional levels. These appear to all go together, but I am not able to confirm. The base level has metal trucks. Axles and wheels as well as the undercarriage pieces intact. See detail photos) It reads TRAILER TRAIN E.T.T.X. 500395. The deck is red and made of wood. The 2 upper level decks do not have any markings but are red and made of wood as well. All 3 decks measure 12 3/8" in length. Also included is a sign that has the ATSF logo on it and reads Santa Fe AUTO-VEYOR. There is one wood piece of pillar/post that measures 5 1/8" in length. It appears to be notched. There are 4 total pieces of metal pillar/posts/columns that measure 1 5/8" in length.
