It was designed for public address use in places like airports. I bought this for the case and meter, to use as the basis for an Altec 436C tube compressor clone. I purchased the input transformer, output and power transformers on ebay a few months ago. Since then I found another Altec case that will do the job so I am selling this. It would make a great looking vintage compressor project. The case is big and sturdy, with lots of room inside for tubes, transformers and other goodies.
