It is in nice used physical condition. Powers on, lights function, the motorized revolving nosepiece that holds the objectives functions properly, however the switch feels a bit loose. One of the eyepieces won't turn to focus, we are not sure if it is stuck or not. Both of the light sources that connect to the back of the microscope work properly, as well as the power supplies. The Schott light source also functions properly. The camera powers on however we are unable to test any further as we do not have the interface card that connects to the computer. Carl Zeiss Stereo Microscope- 1960's I'm not an expert on microscopes. But here's what I know about this microscope. Its a Carl Zeiss Stereomicroscope, in excellent condition. It belonged to my dad when he was in med school so I believe it dates back to mid 1060's, but it could easily be older. The enamel is in excellent shape, all lenses are there, all moving parts slide easily. Everything looks like its there, but I don't know what was originally purchased. There is no case, but I am an expert packer and will make sure that this scope is packed well with extra padding. There is no serial number that I can see. The microscope assembly it's mounted on has a Carl Zeiss 4662695 eyepiece with a filter holder, what appears to be a light source, and a cylinder containing a sliding mirror array that can be set to connect the light paths in various ways. The microscope connector at the bottom is 4.3 cm in diameter. There are two cables, one from the light source ending in a large coaxial connector and one from the camera shutter leading to a module with a button and a round 5-pin connector. Vintage Unitron ME-1548 Microscope w/Zeiss components and Polaroid Camera
First let me say that I don't know much about microscopes. Most info here is from my observance so if you have questions please ask. What we have is a vintage UNITRON ME 1548 3 ABJECTIVES 3X UNITRO/ NIKON 20 AND UNITRON M 20/ 0.40. W/ POLAROID CAMERA. It has attached a Karl Zeiss camera attachment that has an adjustable Zeiss eyepiece. There is a Polaroid Land Camera attached to the top of the Zeiss. I was told that there is a beam(light) splitter w/light on the microscope. The scope table has multiple micro adjustments possible for movement. This unit has been stored for many years. Could use a cleaning but still pretty clean. It appears all knobs and bulbs are in working order. Looks lightly used. I don't know if the Polaroid camera works as I have no film to test it. I was told it did work when stored. Overall it looks to be in ... morevery nice condition and very usable
