This is an excellent condition ocean optics USB2000 spectrometer. The actual wavelength range is 331.8- 1014.6 nm. A wavelength calibration was recently performed using a HG-1 mercury argon lamp. The wavelength coefficients are stored in the EEProm. This has a 25 µm slit. This unit was used in a clean lab environment. Ocean Optics USB-2000 386-680 nm USB spectrometer, tested and guaranteed
USB2000 spectrometer spanning 386 to 680 nm. Tested and guaranteed. This covers very near UV to orange-red, so it gives you most of the visual spectrum except for deep red. This one is outfitted with holographic grating#5 and 25 micron slit. See image with full specs. Because of this grating's efficiency curve. The sensitivity is low past 600 nm, and really low past 650 nm(look at the incandescent lamp spectrum and compare to a normal 2700K blackbody you can find on the internet) On the other hand, efficiency is really high around 400 nm, so it is better suited for the blue-green-yellow side of things rather than red, unless you're looking at something bright. Would make a nice classroom demonstrator for atomic lines. Which I used it for. Could also be good for astronomers who don't need the red part. Note that"LENS_INSTALLED=TRUE" so it has the optional cylindrical convex lens to compress the entire slit image down onto the one-dimensional CCD array, a pretty big plus for efficiency.
