Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope from 1909. Original Case. In Good Condition and Working Order Smart German microscope from 1901. Perfectly preserved and ... morein good working order. This microscope was made by Ersnt Leitz Wetzlar company, which was founded by K. Kellner in Wetzlar in 1849. The name of the company comes from engineer E. Leitz, who was hired to work in the firm and afterwards became its owner. It is a remarkable fact that Leitz has been always a reference in the field of optical material; its Canadian factory was renowned by their famous Leica cameras. This microscope comes in its original solid wood case and keeps all its accessories. Eyepieces and lenses in good condition. The microscope is made of brass with parts painted black. The brass keeps the original varnish, meant to protect the metal from rusting. This is why the brass is so polished and shiny, free from pitting. The lenses are in very good condition and provide a clear and neat view. In the central cylinder we can see the inscription Enrst Leitz Wetzlar and London, with the serial number: 122054. The name of the company is also engraved in the lenses. The microscope preserves all its original components: lenses, eyepieces, mirrors and the clips attached to the stage. The case which houses the microscope is made of solid beech wood. Inside there is a wooden stand designed to hold the eyepieces. We can also see two wooden boxes with sliding covers which contain material designed to clean the lenses and prepare the samples. The case has dovetail joints. As beautiful as strong, and keeps the original lock and keyhole. The metal handle at the top, designed to carry the microscope, is also original. In the upper edge of the box we can see the serial number, carved on the wood; this number also appears in a label fixed to the inside of the door. This label shows some technical data with information about the microscope, the objectives and the eyepieces under the name of Magnification Table. The inscriptions are beautifully hand-written, turning thi

1909. Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope. Original Case.Good Condition.Working Order
Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope from 1909. Original Case. In Good Condition and Working Order Smart German microscope from 1901. Perfectly preserved and in good working order. This is why the brass ... moreis so polished and shiny, free from pitting.

Antique Leitz Wetzlar 1930's Leica Named WW2 Microscope Org. Case, Slides & More
Thank your for stopping by! We look forward to doing business with you! Customer satisfaction is our number one priority! Up for auction is a great piece of scientific history. This early Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope comes from an estate where the owner of this microscope served in WW2 completing field research. Model No. 340922 The case bears the name tag James Langill. Woburn Mass. housed under a chrome nameplate holder on the top of the case. The Microscope is stamped Ernst Leitz Wetzlar in many places. On the inside of the case it features the Leitz nameplate logo. Sadly I could only post 12 pictures. More pictures are available upon request. I tried to upload the most important photo's within the 12 allowed. The Microscope is fully functional. Some wear due to age. The chrome and brass are in nice shape. The original case also ... moreincludes the original slide and accessory storage box. Which is normally missing. There are also 16 original slides with labeled specimens still in the case. They are stamped Japan so I can only assume they were used in research during the war while in Japan. Two original lenses/eye pieces are included as well as three original small storage containers. Along with the slides there was also an old thermometer, package of cover glasses and two slide holding chrome clips. Please see list below for what the specimens are on the slides. Inside the slide case(on the inside cover) there is a Leitz Microscope No. Identification Table that has never been written in. The original dual sided mirror is in tact. Clean and free of cracks or chips. All knobs work and turn allowing adjustments to function. This is a great looking microscope with nice history. Please see all pictures as they are a large part of the description process. No Reserve! Details: E. Leitz Wetzler 6x Eye Piece E. Leitz Wetzler 10x Eye Piece E. Microscope Made by E. Leitz Wetlzar (1902) with Wooden Case and extra lenses!
Microscope Made by E. Leitz Wetlzar w ith Wooden Case and extra lenses. German microscope from the early 20th century or earlier. Made by prestigious optic material manufacturer E. Leitz Wetlzar. This nice instrument comes in its original wooden case wi th extra l enses. The microscope is made of golden brass and silvery metal. The brass pieces show slight signs of wear due to the trace of time. The company that made this microscope. E. Leitz Wetzlar, was founded in 1849 by Karl Kellner in Wetzlar(Germany) In the beginning it manufactured mainly telescopes and was called Optical Institute of Wetlzar. When the firm started producing microscopes, Kellner hired engineer Ernst Leitz, who soon became a partner. In 1869 Leitz acquired the company and named it Ernst Leitz Optical Institute. The brand became one of the most important optical manufacturers ... morein the world and many of its models are still produced nowadays. This beautiful microscope is a good example of E. Leitz Wetzlar instruments’ quality. The case is a beautiful wood(think it is walnut) consruction with a brass handle- Plate on top is marked"Noyes Bros. Cutler St. Paul Minn" Case is 14inches tall(basic scope is just over 12inches tall and 4inches wide) 9inches deep and 7inches wide-overall very nice condition It is surely a striking piece for any nostalgic lover of scientific instruments from the early 20th centur y OR later 19th century-sorry I don't know more about this super colle ct ors piece. Vintage Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope Orig Case + Extras
Vintage Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope Orig Case + Extras This vintage microscope is in overall very good condition. The optics work perfectly. And included are the 6x and 10x eyepieces. In the original case, there are 3 small metal canisters, which are empty. I have no idea what they were used for, but they are included as well. There is a small square device with a plug- I am assuming this is some kind of light module, but not certain. When I plugged it in, it did not come on, so if it is a light module, the bulb is probably burned out. Also, on one side of this device someone used liquid paper to write"MEM. HOSP. on it. Also included are the original user manuals for this microscope. Please look closely at my pictures for this auction- what you see is what you get! Thank you SO much for looking at my auction. 1948 Big E. Leitz Wetlzar Binocular + Monocular Microscope. In Perfect Condition
German Binocular- Monocular Microscope Made by E. Leitz Wetlzar in 1948. In Perfect Condition Great German microscope made by E. Leitz Wetzlar in the middle of the 20th century(1948) In perfect condition and working order. This scientific instrument is quite peculiar as it can be used in two ways, monocular and binocular. Both options can be chosen just changing the eyepiece. The item comes in its original mahogany wood case and keeps all its accessories: eyepieces, objectives and wooden stands designed to store all the pieces in good order. E. Leitz Wetlzar is a classical and prestigious firm in the field of optical devices. The company started in 1849 when Karl Kellner founded the Optical Institute in Wetzlar. Germany. In the beginning the original emphasis was on telescopes, but soon microscopes started to be the main product. Ernst Leitz GmbH Wetzlar Microscope #529769
Up for bid is a Ernst Leitz GmbH Wetzlar microscope with these numbers on the frame 529769 and below that 6650-12-120-7525. Don't know much about it. Other than it was originally from Germany and was given to me by my former boss when he moved back to Germany. It has two lenses, both are marked E. Leitz Wetzlar. One is a 45:1 A.065 and the other is 10:1 A.025. It looks like it has room for 4 lenses on the head. The top eye piece swivels. It has a light mounted under the table, the power cord has an on/off switch, but the plug is not a US plug, it has two round prongs on it, I assume it is a German plug. The microscope looks to be in good shape, and all the adjustment knobs seem to work ok. I've never tried to see if the light works. The case is in decent shape, it has one bad spot on the rear, it is missing the handle, and the lock ... moreis unlocked and I have no keys. I did clean the outside of the box when it was given to me last year. The inside of the box looks really good, all the padding looks to be intact and there are three removable holders, there is also a chart of some kind on the inside of the door. As I said, I don't know anything about it other than he said it worked, but I've never been able to test it, so it is being sold"As Is. I don't really think I can answer many questions about it, unless there is something that you want me to look for on it, or you want more pictures, but I will reply to all with question whether I can answer them or not. Kids aren't interested in it, so it is taking up space. Payment by paypal within 48 hours of auctions end please. RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Feog4d72f%2Bf7%60%3E-13e92a12d03-0x100-

This instrument is signed on the front face of the body tube. E. Leitz Wetzlar, No. 263923. This serial number dates the instrument to the year 1928. Accompanying this listing is a catalog cut of this microscope model extracted from ... morethe 1920 Leitz “Catalogue of Microscopes and Accessory Apparatus” for comparison with the instrument featured here. The similarities to the featured instrument are readily apparent. NOTE: The only significant difference is the fact that the featured instrument has a rectangular rather than a round stage. Leitz first introduced this model microscope about the year 1905 with the intent that it would serve as an economical but complete instrument for routine examinations in clinical laboratories. Thus. This model microscope found its way into clinical laboratories around the world and was a very successful addition to the Leitz varied line of precision microscopes. This early 20th Century Leitz brass microscope will make a very nice addition to any vintage/ antique microscope collection. DETAILED DESCRIPTION: This microscope is built upon Leitz’s “Stativ C” stand. Which has a nicely sculpted horseshoe shaped foot with an integral rectangular pillar that rises to a compass joint that supports the limb, stage and the rest of the instrument. The foot and pillar are cast as one piece on this instrument. The compass joint allows the microscope to be tilted to any angle from the ve
