This is a beautifully inlaid and carved Caspar Da Salo copy Violin. By Eduard Reichert. It is full size the label says" Eduard Reichert Dresden Fecit Anno 1899" The tone is great, and it plays very easy. There are a few repaired cracks and at least one that needs to be glued on the top(see pics) There also is a small piece of purfeling missing( see pic) The scroll has a beautiful carved banner with Caspar Da Salo carved in. The back is very well flamed, measures 14 inches, and has Celtic geometric designs inlaid. Other than the crack that needs repair and the small piece of purfeling, it is in very good condition. This is a straight bow with fantastic camber. Weighing 60 grams this is a full size bow measuring 29" or 73 1/2 cm. Beautiful round Pernambuco stick with a leather and Nickel wound finger grip. Ebony frog. Abalone slide, eye, and button with bone tip. This bow plays wonderfully and would make a fine bow for a professional violinist.

Also has a new Sacony tail piece fastener installed. As the old gut string was bad. The violin is full size 4/4 and has one of the nicest quilted maple backs I have ever had for quite a while. The neck is also a nice stripe.There was one hair line crack on front center under the tailpiece as shown. This crack was repaired at some point and seems quite stable, no flex. One piece carved back.Wear on upper right bout as shown in photos. Also various chips and scuffs age appropriate wear, I cant call them all look at the photos, ask questions.Comes with a used vintage case I had in stock, used but works OK. Well Made Eduard Reichert Violin Dresden Germany fecit anno 1913 A Players Instr
Up for auction is a very well made. And hand made, full size violin by Eduard Reichet of Dresden Germany. Made in 1913. The label is fully intact inside the violin. From what I understand Reichert made about 200 violins in his lifetime, as he was a luthier, and his repair lables are found occassionally on other makers violins. Nice selection of woods, with a very nice Spruce top with medium graining, and nicely flammed Maple back and ribs. The purfling is accurate and nicely inlayed and solid. The varnish over all is in very good condition, as there are a minor amount of the usual light nicks, very little, all in all, it is in very nice condition. A couple of past repairs, but done well and quite sound to the top. No sound post crack or repairs at that area. The violin has a very nice, strong sound, the lower range is a little deeper and ... moredarker than the upper range, but the strings still need to be broken in, and the violin needs to be played. The volumne is of soloist quality. This violin has been well kept in a luther shop untill recently. The body length is 14-3/16' the upper bout is 6-9/16' and the lower is 8-1/8' with the mid at 4-1/2" The violin has been checked out throughly, and all is sound. The violin has recently been set up with new Domanent Strings and has a very strong sound. Please feel free to ask any questions. Reichert fiberscope colonoscope w no broken fibers
Reichert SC-5 Fiberscope Colonoscope with no broken fibers. Comes in case Tested with video camera. Please note the camera was installed onto the scope by virtue of an endocoupler. Without getting technical beyond reason it is by virtue of the lens. And magnification this coupler provides that makes the image look much different than looking with the naked eye. The second picture clearly shows this effect. This coupler was designed for a very different application. As such the image is rounded and the size of the fibers looks really large. With the naked eye this is not the case. I saw more value in showing no broken fibers than worrying about the pedigree of the setup. With that said this is a very good scope, is able to produce a usable video image with the light source turned way down, set at only 20% I then turned it up, the camera swamped ... morebut I still wanted to see the amount of light this scope is able to pass for large cavity applications. Man was this thing bright as you can see in pic 5. Other than that only actual shipping costs served up here. This is a no warranty and no return sale.
