Fisher Scientific IR 6100 Infrared Stirring Hotplate For sale- a Fisher Scientific IR 6100 Infrared Stirring Hotplate. I had three available. Price is for ONE. One of the three I would consider to be in very good to excellent physical condition. That is the first one pictured, BUT THAT ONE HAS BEEN SOLD. The remaining one I would classify as only fair at best. With some rust spots top front from something spilled and the glass cooking surface showing some stains. All three are pictured. But again the nicer one in the first picture has been sold so I have reduced the price accordingly. The remaining one I think was the nicer of the two with stains and rust, but not a lot of difference between them. All were tested. They all heat up and gauging from the cherry red glow at higher output levels, they appear to respond to the output setting as ... morethey should. And all three stir at variable levels. Tested with a paper clip. They all emit electrical noises when heating and all emit mechanical noises when stirring. I don’t find any of the noises alarming. But that is the extent of my testing and NO warranty is offered. However. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. This stir plate item is clean and in fine physical shape with no staining on the top surface but some rust along the edges. The base of the unit is in fair shape also with no dents or dings but a fair amount of rust not affecting function. I do offer a 14 day warranty against malfunction of the stirrer and hotplate. This stirrer seems to be in fine working order. I have no way to really know if it is operating as it should be. But it did move a metal screw around in a circle. The cord is approximately 6'6" long. Can't read the label on the back so I'm only guessing from looking at others on eBay as to the model number. All four rubber feet are secure and knob turns freely.

New Page 1 I used these 5 Corning PC-420D hot plate stirrers to control water temperature in 5 beakers at 30- 40 oC in an air-conditioned room for 2 weeks in my lab in Bangkok. Thailand. The stirrers were set at 100 rpm or less. The experiment is now finished and I have no use for these. They are basically like new with no wear or tear at all. All the functions(heating, stirring, knobs, displays) work perfectly. When I used them, I even put aluminum foils on the plates so that the plates wouldn't be in contact with the beakers. You can see the flawless conditions, both inside and outside, in the photos. Included are power cord, original manual(but, just to let you know everything, they look like photocopied though) and its original box as shown in the pictures.
