Corning PC-620 in good condition. Slight stains on the pyroceram top. But in perfect working condition. I had been using this as a stir plate for yeast starters for brewing beer, but don't need it anymore. It has worked well for me. The heat and stirring both work perfectly. Barnstead Thermolyne Hot Plate Stir Plate, tested, no reserve
This is a used stir plate and hot plate combination made by Barnstead/Thermolyne. Surface is approximately 7.5 inches X 7.5 inches. I have tested the stirrer ability and the heating ability of item. Both work very well. This item is used. I have cleaned with a mild cleaner but as you can see in pictures it is still used in appearance. You will notice the outer insulation on the power cord is cracked on the back of the unit. Internal wires are still insulated and I could not find any exposed wiring anywhere. This would be an easy fix with electrical tape or electrical shrink wrap if this is a concern. Terms of sale. 1. At surplus_equipment_2012. It is missing both knobs and the front is bent slightly beside the stir speed knob. It will stir. The speed adjustment works but something is slightly out of balance which causes it to vibrate slightly when turned to high speed, not really a problem but worth mentioning. Here is a used hot plate stirrer made by VWR model 370. Has variable stir dial. Variable heat dial and indicator lights. Both are tested working fine for over 45 min. This auction is for a used Fisatom variable speed stir plate. I am the original and only owner. It is in excellent condition and works great. The plate is 5.5 inches in diameter and was exclusively used for making homebrew yeast starters in a 5L Erlenmeyer flask(also up for auction!
