Up for auction is Pelton& Crane Sterilizer. Model 216. It has been in my family since new. My father was a GP here in NC and practiced medicine from 1938 thru 1973. I am not sure when he purchase it, but I do remember it being in his office when I was as young as 8 years old(1956) I have checked this and it heats fine. It has three setting for heat: Fast, Medium and Slow. It also has a temp setting from 200 degrees to 300 degrees. I have had it stored for many years and just decided to sell it. I checked it out to make sure it worked and it did. The inside compartment is 16" long by 6 inches wide and about 4" deep. It has a small tray and a full length tray. From what I can see, I think it was made of brass and chromeplated over that. The cord is fine. Also, it comes with a wall mounting bracket. This is how he had it mounted ... morein his office. I am setting a price I feel is reasonable, but will also accept offers on this unit. The shipping weight with the sterilizer and bracket is about 25 lbs. The weight of the unit with bracket is about 19 lbs, but the box and packing material are about 5-6 pounds more. Shipping includes insurance as well. Thanks. Marked"WOODWARD CLARKE& CO" Portland Oregon on tag at top of door. Each outlet on the top is marked as well. Two are labeled LEAVE OPEN. One labeled Fill HERE, One labeled THERMOSTAT amd one labeled THERMOMETER. The latch and hinges are solid. The right side has a spicket and a glass sight tub setup, the glass is missing but could be easy replaced. The left side has a sliding vent. The door is about one inch thick and has the original intact cloth or leather gasket. There is an electrial heater eliment that is not wired in located on the bottem of the box.
