Great Old Stereo Microscope! I got it to focus. And the clarity isn't bad at all. The lenses probably need a good cleaning if you'd like to use it frequently. I tried to get a shot through the lens of some lettering and a knife blade. It looked much better through the scope though. You need an outside light source for this scope to work. It works fine if you have a small lamp to plug in and point at the stage. This type of microscope is designed to look at larger objects like a whole insect for example. It will not be powerful enough to view something like an amoeba such as you'd look at with a standard microscope. There is a broken corner on the glass stage and I got a picture of it. The corner doesn't affect how it works. It is basically an antique and would look very cool on a shelf, but you could use it if you like. Bristoline Binocular Stereo Microscope w/Light
Up for auction is this used Bristoline binocular stereo microscope. Has adjustable head with 2 original 10x eyepieces. Focus and fine focus works good but is hard to turn. Light no longer has a switch but turns on by plugging it in. Unit has iris diaphragm condenser underneath the stage. Stage has a great working cross slide. Comes with 4 original objectives-A4/0.10, A10/0.25, A40/0.65 and OIL A100/1.25. Unit has some small tape residue spots and writing on the back on the microscope but overall a clean unit. Viewing is clear from hazing and scratches but lenses do need to be cleaned. Be cautious buying microscopes from sellers claiming it is untested and sold as is. This is a stand for an Olympus Stereo Microscope. It was designed for the model VM series. VMF, VMT, VMZ, but should fit later SZ and SF models or any other microscope with a 76 mm diameter mount. Please look at the pictures carefully, as this stand has been well used. The paint is worn, it has a couple of engraved numbers, and is missing the thumbscrews that hold the head and stage plate in place. On the plus side, the focus works properly with no rough spots, and it has been freshly lubricated with the correct damping grease.

AO Spencer microstar microscope stereo needs work
This is a nice american optical AO Spencer microstar microscope. I believe it is a series 20. But examine the pictures to judge yourself. It has the binocular head. It is missing the eye pieces and 3 of the objectives, it comes with one 10x objective. The part of the mechanical stage the holds the slide is also missing(the stage itself moves fine) It has the fancy illuminator with multiple filter holders as well as the condenser. You will also need the power supply for this(model 2051) Other than the missing items, a couple inventory tags, and some labeling it is in good shape. I was going to restore it but haven't gotten around to it so it must go. Sold as-is for parts or repair only. Hi.I have for sale a good clean Cooke,Troughton& Simms stereo microscope that comes complete with four objective lenses and a lockable wooden carry case.This microscope dates to around the 1950's and has a good heavy body with all of its adjusters working perfectly fine.The optics are fine with two of the objectives but the other two have been tampered with.It looks like someone has tried to clean two of the objectives and have not put back the little lenses back in the correct order.The little lenses all look present and you will need a little patients with them.I think the working objectives are 10x and 95x.The ones that have been tampered with are 45x and 40x(the 40x end cap is not screwed back fully.The rest of the microscope is fine and the stage adjuster works great.this also has a convex/flat mirror and light diaphragm etc ... moreat the base.The stereo view is fine with no double vision etc and i am sure this will be a fabulous microscope again.The wooden carry case is fine and has two keys. 1955 Bausch& lomb stereomicroscope model BKT-5. This microscope was purchased new by Bell Aerospace in Niagara Falls NY for the lab in the paint dept. It was given to me in 1996 by my neighbor who was working in the lab when this microscope was brought in new and used it up until the 60's/70's. He said they always used it even with the modern equipment and it worked better. He worked for Bell since the 40's and when he retired he took the microscope with him. He said they discovered a"thing" problem with paint and heat that changed everything in jet aircraft with this scope. Unfortunately I was stupid to listen clearly back then. Anyway. Its been sitting for decades now and showing signs of age. Still moves free. Lights up but only one bulb. Bottom mirror is cracked. This is for a high quality SPI 10X- 20X stereo microscope. I have purchased an upgraded set of 10X eyepieces for this microscope. They are diopter adjustable and I am also including the original SPI 30mm outer diameter 10X eyepieces. It has incident and transmitted illumination. That works very well. The microscope has the original stage clips. There is some tape wrapped around the plug end of the power cord. There is a two or three business day wait after cleared payment is received, untill I can ship it out. Please ask any questions before bidding and I will try to answer them quickly.
