Being offered is an EJ Albert Violin. The old case has a piece of material sewn in that also says EJ Alberts. The case is a little rough with a fw chunks taken out of it and the inside is somewhat soiled. The material label on the case says EJ Albert Musical Instruments 124 S Ninth St Old Estab'd Phila Home of Violin House The Founder. The label inside the violin is very similar to that. The label inse has a big looking edged looking seal much like this* that has a lot of the same info as the case tag. EJ ALberts Old Established then has a violin Violin House 24 So ninth St Phila. I don't see any chips or cracks in the wood.The bridge is also marked EJ Albert. I was heartbroken when I got home and saw the one tuner key was broken off. At the estate sale it was fine but my guess is somebody was messing with it at the sale and it snapped ... moreoff and they just stuck it back in. The other 3 keys look fine. This is approx 23 1/2 long and from the top of the notch to the bottom it is about 15" Nice looking split back finish. The bow is marked Edward Reichert. The parfocal tube allows photography with your DSLR; all you need is a t-mount adapter. Extra photo sample is of a hair I took with this setup. Full Size Eduard Reichert 1899 Violin+Bow+ Brand New Case!
This is a beautiful violin that we are NOT using. No one in my family knows how to play it so we decided to sell it. Its original year is 1899. And sounds beautifully.Family friend played it, I am more of a cello kind of gal. We sent it to Shar Music. And they looked over it- the sound post was missing, a few seams were cracked, and the tail piece was a little wiggly. BUT! We payed for it and now all of those problems are gone forever. There are a little cracks on the edges, as you can see, but that won't get in the way of the sound. The bow has been re-haired at Shar Music, so you don't need to worry about that for about another 3 years. The tailpiece, chin-rest, and pegs are all real wood, and like it says in the title, it is a full size violin. Oh! And the case is brand new, as well. We bought one so that we could sell it and so ... morethat it could have a place to be in. I was hoping for ideally $700 but if you think that that is too much and like(for example) $650 more. We'll take that as well. Best offer, so really, it's up to you.
