We've used one of the same model before and found it extremely easy to operate and the results were exceptional- much better than the audio-frequency models that we had used in the past. This unit has 20x the bandwidth of most audio frequency units, most of which are limited to 100 kHz. Perkin Elmer lock-in amplifiers are now sold under the Ametek- Signal Recovery brand. They are otherwise identical. New Price: $13.995.00 USD Model 7280- Overview The model 7280 DSP Lock-in Amplifier is an exceptionally versatile instrument with outstanding ... moreperformance. With direct digital demodulation over an operating frequency extending up to 2.0 MHz. Output filter time constants down to 1 µs and a main ADC sampling rate of 7.5 MHz it is ideal for recovering fast changing signals. But unlike some other high frequency lock-ins, it also works in the traditional audio frequency band. In addition to its excellent technical specifications. It is also very easy to use. The front panel is dominated by a large electro-luminescent display panel, used both to show the instrument's outputs and for adjusting its controls via a series of menus. Controls are set by a combination of the use of the keys surrounding the display and the keypad, while four cursor-movement keys simplify use of the graphic display menus. Perkin Elmer AutoSystem XL Gas Chromatograph For sale- a Perkin Elmer AutoSystem XL Gas Chromatograph. In the spirit of full disclosure. Let me get this out of the way first. I came close to not buying this because the AC cord had been cut off flush with the back of the unit. I’ve been doing this surplus thing for a while now. That’s rarely a good sign. Usually it means that whatever you do don’t use this piece of equipment. But I started thinking about it and usually in those cases it’s the end of the cord with the plug that they cut off. Having it cut off right at the machine started making me think maybe that was the easiest way to remove it. Or they wanted to save the heavy cord for the replacement machine. Whatever. I did a temporary patch with a wimpy little cord and plugged it in and the GC powers up as you can see. Goes through some ... moreinitial self tests and then appears to be heating up getting ready to go. The GC requires 110VAC 16 amps. Which is one amp more than standard wall sockets usually provide. So I was sorta expecting it to trip the breaker. But it didn’t. The oven heated up to 160 C. And when I changed it to 170 degrees it went right to that. The display kept saying it wasn’t ready. So I started poking around a little and it turns out that the CAP 1 setting was 280 degrees so it was taking that a bit longer to get to temp. Eventually it did and I think I initiated a run using Method 5. So it seems that at the very least it isn’t a total basket case. And that with a bit of refurbishing it might actually work just like it sits. Otherwise untested. Sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. However. IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases. Ion Pump,Perkin Elmer Ultek D-I (Diode Ion Pump)
This ion pump was removed from a working laser filling/refilling station. It will probably work fine. But I have no way of knowing how much life it has left and no Ultra-High Vacuum System to check it with. I checked it for shorts between the high voltage feedthrough and case and it was not shorted. A look inside seems that it looks okay, with little to no deformation of the insides. I am only listing this as"For parts or not working" due to the fact that I can't test it. This unit must be used with a"roughing" pump. And a high vacuum pump such as a diffusion pump or turbo-molecular pump to initially get the pressure very low(or vacuum high) enough and then the ion pump is started which will easily take the vacuum down to the Ultra-High Vacuum region. I believe this to be rated at 11 L/s, nut i am not sure. I can provide ... moredimensions of the unit if you desire. It does have a 2-1/8 flange that is rotateable. The controller that this unit was used with is a Perkin Elmer Ultek 150mA Ion Pump Controller which I am listing separately. I have tested the Controllers and have documentation for them.
