This is a Vintage Olympus Tokyo Microscope in Orig Wooden Box. K203425, and Accessories. The microscope is in good working order. The microscope has 4 different magnification lenses. I believe three of the four have been changed out and upgraded to Nikon lenses. The 4X, 10X, and the 40X powers are the Nikon lenses. The 100X magnification just has the term"hi" on it but no brand name. The wooden box has a lock and key. Also included is a dissecting kit, a small wooden box of blank slides and a few prepared slides, mounting covers and a very small amount of mounting fluid. A pair of blue rubber gloves. A very small amount of Nikon immersion oil. 3 empty specimen containers. 3 boxes of prepared specimen slides from the Perfect Company. They include: Molds& Yeast, Bacteria, and Plants. RARE Vintage OLYMPUS GB MICROSCOPE Original Wooden Box 3 OBJECTIVES Accessories+
Hello and Welcome to Our Auction. You are looking at a rare vintage Olympus GB microscope. The original paperwork is dated Sept 8 1954 an is attached to the lid of the box. It's serial number is 205357. It is the large type. 1st class microscope. It is heavy duty. It comes with three objectives, 10x, 40x and 100x. the oculars include a 5x, p10x and a 15x. The objectives have original cases inside the wooden inserts that slide into place in the box. There is one smaller wooden shim with green felt that I can't tell where it goes inside the box. The microscope measures about 12 3/4" tall. There are two seals inside the box as well, they say Grade A JIS B7132 Optical goods and Optical& Precision instruments Mfs. Association of Japan. It has the Chief Inspector stamp from Olympus Optical Co on the inspection certificate. Also ... moreincludes plastic microscope dust cover, some blank glass slides. The box has some wear. In overall good condition. The split in the back sticks out farther on one side, I think it was made that way. The box still has original factory packing materials and it is made to keep the microscope and contents safe during shipment or travel. There is even a screw that threads through the bottom of the box, in to the microscope to mount it to the box when not in use. The mirror has a little fog around the edge on both sides. All objectives are clear with no debris or fog. There is a box with materials in it, not sure what is in it, maybe material to assemble slides, not sure if that stuff is any good anymore. The sheet on the inside of the box states Cedar Oil, spanner and screen glass, the slides are blank, no inside the box, so not sure if the material is the cedar oil or what it is.
