The porcelain plate has a little very light staining but nothing that dark and nothing that will effect use at all. The body is in great shape with only a couple spots here and there. The knobs turn easy and the numbers are very clear. The stirrer works great and the hot plate heats up extremely fast. Sorry for the lengthy description. I just hate when people list these stirrer and give no description of what king of condition the piece is in!
