They are made out of a plastic material. They are marked on the front of each stick Dewar's& on the backside of each Dallas. I could see no cracks or scratches on this swizzle stick. The Cherry's have some of the red paint that has rubbed off-see pictures. The end of the solid red stick. Looks like a ski. I do not know if you can see it in the close-up pictures. I have a whiskey liquor hip flask that is leather& stainless steel. It has Dewar's.12 embossed on the front and says Stainless Steel 6 oz. on the bottom. The top opening is hinged and screws off and on. It is in excellent condition and I don't think it has ever been used. The top and bottom steel is bright and shiny and the stitching and the leather are not at all worn.
