For sale is this liquid nitrogen research dewar in excellent condition. This can also be used for liquid helium. The inner vessel and outer vacuum region have been leak checked with a mass spec helium leak detector& both are tight. The vacuum space is tight as well. And all cryogenic supports are in great shape. The cold work space is 5.1” diameter x 1.5” h. There is a vapor-cooled radiation shield for excellent cryogenic performance, and a sealable threaded fixture at the top fill allows vacuum pumping the liquid nitrogen to a temperature of 50K. A pumping fixture is included with this sale. Volume of liquid vessel is 1.2 liters which yields a hold time for LN2 of 72 hours(and 18 hours for LHe) There is space on the cold plate for a“getter” to assist in maintaining the guard vacuum at very low pressures. A standard 1” diameter blank ... morewindow is included, as well as a 6-pin electrical vacuum connector, and a valve for the guard vacuum region. A grid of 4-40 threaded holes, 0.375” x 0.375” on center is included on the gold-plated cold plate to mount items to be cooled. You are bidding on a very nice set of 4 Dewar's White Label rocks glasses. The glasses are in their original box have never been used. These were given to reps by the distributors as promotional items. Each glass has a heavy pentagon shaped base and white etched lettering. They measure 3 1/2" tall and just over 3 1/4" across. The box seems to have originally held 6. But the other 2 were probably given away to customers. Up for auction is a vintage Dewar's Scotch Crate from Perth Scotland. This wooden crate is in very nice solid condition and measures 17 wide. 11 1/2 deep and 9 inches in height. It has advertising in the maner of a black& red stencil, Dewar's imprinted on both sides and the ends are clearly marked with box capacity. Perthshire, PH15 2EB Scotland 1805 John Dewar was born to humble crofter parents on a small farm in the very heart of Scotland. His first language is Gaelic. But he learns English at the local parish school, a skill which will be useful in business. Deciding farming isn't for him, John apprentices as a joiner, and sets up business with his brother in Aberfeldy. 1828 John decides he just isn't cut out to be a joiner. He jumps at the opportunity to move to Perth and work as a cellarman in Uncle Alex MacDonald's Perth wine business. In 1837 he becomes partner in his uncle's spirit business and it becomes known as MacDonald and Dewar. 1846 John gets the entrepreneurial bug

This is a great low form hemispherical Dewar vacuum flask made by Chemglass. It has an overall capacity of 600ml and stands 4" tall. Fits a 500ml flask.
