This unit was acquired from a working environment and is in nice condition cosmetically with only a few superficial scratches on the the unit along with some minor rust around the seal of the door(as can be seen in the pictures) and appears to be functioning as it should. However, it's sold as-is, as described. When tested, the unit accelerated and decelerated quite smoothly and was very quiet. It also appears to heat and cool as can be seen from the pictures. This centrifuge is being sold for parts/repair since it appears that the brake isn't functioning properly. The refrigeration unit works properly and achieves its rated max low temp. The sight glass is missing from the top of the lid. There is tape and tape residue across the surface of the housing as well as what appears to be some corrosion. There are also light marks and scratches from previous use. The timer knob is missing and will need to be replaced and the open switch is cracked but functional. We have tested this unit and it appears to be in good working condition. This is a Beckman Type 70 Ti ultracentrifuge rotor. It is in excellent condition and comes with 2 NEW Beckman Buna O-Rings(870612 for lid; 11757 for handle) As well as brand NEW 70,000rpm overspeed disk(335585) Accessories are from Beckman Coulter. Rotor has been autoclaved. Rotor recently passed inspection by former Sorvall Technician at Cambridge Scientific Products. Made of Titanium with black polyurethane paint; lid and handle are aluminum anodized for corrosion resistance. Please see below for the video of the rotor spinning at 70.000 rpm. I use this rotor for food science purposes. It is in fantastic shape and I trust it well enough to spin at around max. rpm continuously. Antique Vintage Wool BECKMAN COMPANY Carriage Blanket 55"x72' w/4"fringe 2 sides
This very heavy. Thick wool carriage blanket was made by Beckman Company, Northern Ohio Blanket Mill of Cleveland, Sixth City and still has the label. It is in excellent condition with 4" fringe on 2 ends and measures 55" x 72" Large and heavy is our specialty" was one of their mottos. The Northern Ohio Blanket Mill was founded in 1880 and closed in 1928. By 1900 they claimed to be the largest horse blanket manufacturer in the world and expanded into blankets for the new automobile industry. My Grandfather made automobiles in St. Louis in the early 1900's and this blanket could easily date from as early as that. It has remained in our family all these years carefully cared for with no condition issues. It is plaid on one side and a solid dark navy on the reverse and is very dense and heavy.

This is a nice looking and great working fully functional table top unit! Comes with the S4180 Rotor( no buckets or inserts) Everything works great on it! Rotor spins very smooth with no noise or vibration( I let it run for 3 hours straight at 4800 RPM while testing it) Brake works great. And there are no visible scratches or dents in the exterior body. No rust. I let it run for around 10 min.to test cooling and the temp got to-5C and ice crystals formed in the stainless steel tub. The 4 rubber feet do have some cracking in them around the edges and the"door unlock button" lettering is beginning to wear off the button some. but is merely cosmetic. This unit weighs 158 pounds un-packed and around 190-200 pounds with a good HD pallet. So it will have to be shipped freight. If delivered to a business with a loading dock or forklift ... morethe shipping should be around $250.00- $350.00 Depending what part of the country your in from me.
