Vintage Sekiguchi MONKEY THUMB SUCKER Monchichi Dolls
Up for auction are a trio of 3-7 1/2" Monchichi monkey dolls from Sekiguchi that are thumb suckers. The one with the pink bib is a more recent one that is made in China and in like new condition with a hang tag. The other two are older. One that has no clothes is tagged Made in Hong Kong 1972. While the other one is wearing a pair of bibbed velvet coveralls and is tagged Made in Japan, 1974. Both of the older dolls will need cleaning and a little paint touch up, especially on their pacifiers. There are no odors as my home is completely smoke free. Offering for sale a very unusual original needlepoint of General Tom Thumb depicted as Napoleon Bonaparte of the P.T. Barnum Circus who was one of the most famous Midgets in history. I'm tempted to open the papered back of this awesome needlepoint framed picture to see if it was cut from an original piece of art which may have been part of the Barnum Circus that travel the World. but I am going to leave that decision to the new owner. The piece is very old. as I can see from the aging on the cloth which is behind glass in the frame. The frame is 5 15/16" H x 5 1/2" W. The actual size of Tom Thumb image in the needlepoint is 2 5/8" H x 1 1/8" W. P.T. Barnum. A distant relative of Stratton(half fifth cousin. Up for auction is this little hand crafted thumb drum from India. It is not much bigger than the pin in the pictures. So its easily held and played. I got this drum at a venue i was working at selling jewelery. It has grown on me. But i am ready too part with it. I hope that someone out there can put it too better use. I am not much of a musician but i still love the soothing notes that it makes. Maybe you can make some heavenly songs with it. The drum seems too be part gourd and wood. It measures appoximately 69-70"wide by 81-82"long and is probably best suited to a full or twin size bed. It is quilted in a random scalloped pattern. 7 or 8 stitches to an inch. Hard to find anything wrong here. The backside shows some wear along the outside edges in spots where the muslin is thin and show small holes. I have tried to picture some of these areas. I believe I saw a small yellow spot on the back also. This quilt was stored in a cupboard and as expected I believe the whites could be boosted with a gentle cleaning. Up for auction is a previously used Safariland level II retention holster for an H&K HK full size USP. I used it on duty with my USP 40. The hood opens with a push down and forward with your thumb. It functions smoothly. It's a very natural motion. I'm selling it due to switching duty guns recently so I have no use for it. It is in nice used condition. It shows a bit of wear. Most notably on the bottom- see pictures. I really liked this holster but I should note that it seemed as if there was some slight play front to back. Not much at all, and it didn't bother me, but I don't want anyone to be disappointed. I think it could be adjusted to fit better by tightening the adjustment screw but I didn't mess with it.
