International 1300 Sickle Bar Mower 3 Point Hitch Hay Lawn Cycle IH Mounted
You are bidding on an International 1300 sickle mower with a 7' bar. It is in 100% ready to go condition. It has a good sickle. Just about new guards, and the inside and outside shoes are in really good shape. It has a new belt. The pto shaft, pto shaft guards, and u-joints are in good condition. All of the pivot points throughout the machine are in really good shape. I take advantage of a machine like this when I get one in and mow my banks and anything that requires a lot of angle out of the bar. This is what you call a balanced head machine. Which means that it will cut in any position. It is in shape and is absolutely ready to go cut hay. If you are looking at this mower, you might have already been to your local dealership and found that they are not scared to ask $2000 to $2500 for one similar to this that is more than likely a ... moreworn out trade-in. I have personally gone through this machine, used it, and it will no doubt be one of the smoothest running machines that I sell in 2013. The section shown in picture# 9 is the condition of the entire sickle. If it had the shield on the back, it would be about perfect. The idler pulleys on the belt are in good shape too. I have used this thing around here about every four or five days for two weeks now and this mower is in really good condition. I keep about ten or twelve feet on each side of my lane and about five acres mowed down real nice. I let it grow up to about five to seven inches tall and I cut it down to about three inches tall with these mowers. I am pointing this out because if you have ever used a sickle mower. You know that it is not an easy task to get one to cut grass that is only five inches tall. When you have one that will cut like that, it makes it very versatile. Pictures#11 and12 show it mowing along a pretty steep pond bank. It will go lower than that and it will operate straight up in the air. Always use lock nuts on the guard bolts, because if you don't they'll shake loose and cause a lot of problems. This mower works on Ford or Ferguson systems. A lot of internationals, some Allis Chalmers. It has to have the narrow lift arms. It will not work on square lift arms. Watch the videos and I explained a lot about the mower. It is an International 1300 sickle mower with a 7' bar. It is ready to go. In fact I have used it this year. It has BRAND NEW KNIVES on the sickle bar last year. Guards. Shoes, PTO shaft, U-Joint, belts and lift are all also in great shape. This mower has all the guards in place. If you are looking for something to cut a field. Cut your ditch bank, or to cut Hay for crop, this mower is READY TO GO. The IH 1300 is very user friendly to maintain having bolts and nuts to replace the knives(no rivets) and a belt drive. Knives can be replaced 1 at a time if needed. COMES WITH SPARE KNIVES, and some bolts. It connects up to your 3-point hitch easy, folds up for travel, and swings ... moredown with ease. The lift arm operates VERY EASY compared to the ford, or other mowers that have a contraption of chains to lift and lower the mower and cutter. we had a Massey Ferguson tractor and sold i think the sickle mower was a part of and has always been stored inside the barn. The mower looks to be very rusted where the blades are there are a couple of teeth that are broken but i do have 2 other blade bars. The wooden drive shaft is also broken at the sickle end and is a basic maintenance item. I am not also sure about the model number. I really dont no anything about farm equipment i do no about auto mechanics and this mower can be fixed to fun it is still use able. I have never used this mower before. John Deere Vintage#5 Sickle Mower. 7 Foot Cutting Blade. Steel Rear Wheel. Nice Unit. PTO Driven and the Gear Box isn't Broken or welded. PTO Drive Shaft Turns Freely, Included But Not Shown is the Original PTO Shaft that attaches to the tractor, its in good shape too. The only weld I found on the unit is shown in the very last photo, the casting where the lift lever mechanism attaches to has been welded. Rare Steel Rear Wheel, Wheel Guide Arm is Not Broken or Welded. The Wheel band itself has a few dents and dings and isn't perfectly circular anymore, Good Spokes and Hub. Correct Mounting Clamps are Intact. Good Rock Guard. Pitman Arm Isnt Broken. The Kickstand arm is intact and not broken but it is bent a little. International Harvester IH 1300 sickle bar mower $100 ships anywhere in lower 48
This is an IH 1300 sickle bar mower. It has a 7 foot bar. It is 3 point hitch. Catagory 1, 540 PTO. It is a local mower. Field ready, solid machine. A copy of the manual will be included with this mower. This mower has a new grassboard. New sickle sections, new double guards, new wearplates, new sickle bar hold down clamps, and a new shield on the PTO. Shields are very important, not only for safety, but also because sickle bar mowers, when mowing in thick grass without the PTO shield, will wind grass up on the PTO shaft. Then you get to spend a bunch of your day getting it off! It won't happen with this one, as it has the shield in place. This mower is serviced and ready to go! These mowers will mow in the vertical position. And will mow about 70 degrees below horizontal. This is a good mower. The IH 1300 is my personal preference of ... moreall the mowers. They are tough.
