Beautiful antique art nouveau planter bowl circa 1901-1907. Semi vitreous porcelain planter made by the East Liverpool Potteries out of Ohio. USA. Planter measures about 12" in length and 7" to highest point. It has a white background, is embossed with scrolls and florals high raised relief on the florals, scalloped top and hand painted with rose and green accents plus gold touches. It is in excellent condition considering the age. No nicks, no chips, no cracks and paint and gold are not worn, there is a tight hairline at the upper edge(see photos, that does go thru to the other side but is well hidden in the raised relief but continues under it. Very Large Ceramic Elephant Head Planter Unique
This auction is for a large Elephant Head planter. The plant measures approximately 18” long. 10” high(from the bottom to the tip of the trunk) and 9 ½” wide(the opening measures approximately 7” across) The elephant is in good/very good condition. There are some small imperfections/glaze pops in several areas, there is a very small chip on the bottom rim, and a few nicks around the opening/top edge of the planter, and a few tiny glaze chips around the sides. Also, there are some dark marks/flat paint chips on the edge of the tusks, with a couple of dark lines. I don’t believe these are cracks, I believe it was part of the firing process. There are also some dark small spots all over, it is a little dirty inside, and there are some dark areas on the bottom. Overall, it is in really good shape and very unique. You are bidding on a Rare. Hand Wrought, Aluminum, Art Deco/Mid-Century Modern, Buenilum Flower Frog Jardiniere/Planter. The Buenilum Aluminum company has a long and rich American history. The company was founded by metal smith Frederic Buehner-Wanner who immigrated from the US to Germany in 1929 just prior to the start of the Great Depression. He eventually developed a formula for aluminum that was used in decorative and food service items and called his new aluminum'buenilum' The company produced aluminum products under the Buenilum name from the 1930s through the 1950s. This piece is in very good condition with no dents or dings to the aluminum. The Jardinere/Planter is stamped on the bottom with the Buenilum BW Mark and measures 3" tall and 7 1/2" wide. Very ornate. Gilded nut bowl or planter, vintage Japan by Enesco. The three dimensional acorns and sharply fluted oak leaves forming the bowl make this a delight. The autumn colors are just great. In excellent condition, no chips or cracks. I found one place on the rim with a tiny rub mark point. Measures 7.5" long by 3.5" high by 4" wide. This is a sweet little vintage baby shoe planter. Very detailed and in excellent condition, no chips or cracks and cannot tell that it has ever been used for anything other than display. I have owned this planter for over 20 years and it has been in storage for most of this time. I used to own an antique store and this item is from my stored stock. It measures 3 1/4 inches tall, 5 1/2 inches long and 2 3/4 inches wide, I was not able to determine the manufacturer. The shoe is a pastel pink with like new patina, inside and out. It would make a perfect gift and decoration for a baby shower table, filled with rattles and baby items.
