Frankoma F29 Brown Satin Drapery Planter 5 1/4" tall, 5 1/2" diameter 1960's
Up for auction is this Frankoma Pottery Planter Bowl. I'm not sure what it is called so I'm just saying it is brown with lighter tan. On the bottom where the Frankoma name and number is. It looks like the terra cotta color in the unglazed edge. This leads me to believe it was made of Sapulpa clay. This would date it after 1954 but I wouldn't have any idea for sure when this piece was made beyond that deduction. On the bottom. Under the Frankoma name is"F29" I call it"free form or Pinched" because of its shape. I love the feel of it when picking it up- how it fits in the hand! Information I found on a Frankoma Pottery website: I believe this shape to be called Drapery Planter. F 29 produced in the 1960's. Brown Satin finish or stain. F 29 is the mold number. Large Heavy 14” Tall Chinese 3 Brass Dragons Crystal Planter Good Luck FREE SHIP
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This thing is fantastic and we can't find another like it. Looks like some of the parts are cast and fabricated in interesting detail. Heavy at about 5.8 pounds brass stand only and about 10 pounds total with the stuff inside the globe Crystal looking vase planter. Just under 15” tall overall. Each of the dragons is about 5.5” tall. Base is about 7” corner to corner and just under 11” tall overall. There are indications of age and use but still strong. Not sure of the materials but seems to be polished brass and maybe can get restored. No idea how old it is. We do not find any seem on the globe but can’t say if it is really crystal or what. There is no chips, hairline cracks paint skips etc on this piece. It is possible this has been restored. I bought a black light 2 years ago. Apparently I do not know how to use it. As it was letting everything pass. I do not check anything now. If you are looking to buy museum quality pottery, that has never been restored, please do not bid on any pottery from me. My pottery has no provenance. I buy my items at all kinds of places, Thrift Stores, Estate Sales& Auctions to name ... morea few. I start my bids out low. I describe it to the best of my ability, but have no patience with people that turn down a beautiful item, if it looks perfect, but has been restored. No. I will not accept a return if you put an acid or some other harsh chemical on a piece from me& ruin it. It must be returned in the same shape as when I shipped it to you. I have been ask what is the difference between a repaired piece of pottery. A restored piece of pottery& a piece that has never been repaired or restored.The difference between a professional restored item& an item that has been repaired is you will see where the repaired piece was fixed, while the restored item will look perfect. The difference between a restored item& 1 that has never been restored, as far as I know, is a restored item will show restored if put under a black light like an Xray shows the inside of a person. If you have a restored piece of pottery, you should never put any kind of liquid on the pottery including, but not limited to water. Just wipe any dust off with a dry rag or use a soft paint brush that has never been used for paint to brush it off. If it is a vase do not fill it with water

This item is glazed on the interior and exterior and has an oblong shape. Can be used for a variety of items as well as the original intended use as a planter. The bottom is hallmarked/stamped ABINGDON U.S.A. as well as being numbered#570. Measures 3-1/8" in height x 10-1/4" long x about 4" wide. It weighs just over 1 lb 5 oz(packaging weight not included) It is clean and ready for use! There is some discoloration on the interior portion of this planter from years of normal use as a planter. These two planters are vintage pieces made by American Bisque. They are leaping gazelle(or deer) glazed in bright yellow. Rich brown, and lovely green glazes. Black paint accents the eyes, nose and hooves of each deer. They measure approximately 7 inches long by 5 1/2 inches high by 2 1/2 inches wide. They are both in excellent condition with no cracks. This listing is for a footed planter/vase by Hampshire Pottery. Ca. 1871-1923. The pattern is distinguished by an off-white or ivory color with gold trim. The piece measures 11" long x 4" wide x 5" high, and is in Very Good condition with no chips, cracks, nicks, or crazing. Please note that it does have discoloration on both the interior and exterior surface. Made in Keene, New Hampshire. The circular mark on the underside was one of the early marks used by the pottery, and probably dates to the 1871-1890 period(ref: Lehner's Emcyclopedia of U.S. Marks) Shipping choices include USPS Parcel Post. White Crackle Ceramic Elephant Planter
5 1/2" Tall to the trunk- White Crackle Glaze Elephant Planter. It has a crackle glaze and does have a crack on the head of the elephant and a chip on the foot. It is about 6" long.
