Delightful quilt with some not serious and completely repairable damage mainly at two ends(probably the ends that were used at top and bottom of bed) Dating to 1920's and from Rutherford County, N.C. super hanging or on a bed. What appears to be a wool Beacon blanket was used as filling on this quilt. Cross-hatch stitchery, all stitches being neat and even and small, probably 11 SPI. Backing is a white muslin in very good condition. I don't know the name of this particular pattern and would appreciate someone filling me in. I have never seen a case like this before, and it has a very Deco design. The case measures 3" tall, 7/8" deep, and 2" wide at the bottom-that would hold a pretty small pack of cigarettes, compared to what size they are in these days! FL 33942" CONDITION: The unit is in good working condition mechanically. I plugged it into my car and have tested it. It spins and lights up. One of the bulbs is dead. Bulbs have a manually applied red glaze that I suspect is not original as there are a few very light smudges of red inside. I have no idea what they were thinking. Paint thinner would remove the coating and marks with ease. The blue lens is in pretty good shape overall. There is wear ... morebut no deep scratches. There is a tight crack above one of the screws but as far as I can tell it is internal and had not reached the outside though it is very close. It looks as though someone possibly overtightened. I have taken the lens off and put it back on; the crack did not grow or move. I have captured it very well in one of the photos. Please have a look. There are a few other very small stress fractures around some of the screw points. Everything is very tight. I will GLADLY take more pictures and provide further description if desired. The original power wires extend past the bottom but a very nice and new 8ft Radio Shack 12v cigarette lighter adapter has been spliced on. I do not know if the unit originally came with a magnetic base or not. When I got this unit it came with a custom magnetic base. By custom I mean: A crudely cut piece of OSB siding& black spray paint with 48 magnets JB welded to the bottom. That's right. 48. There are also three bolts with nuts that attach the base to the unit. Honestly, the thing isn't worth shipping. This is a fabulous vintage 20s or 30s deco era men's robe made from a Beacon blanket in a very noir ombre geometric cobalt and green design with corded trim and original cord belt. The last two pics of the repair show the green color best. The other pics are a better representation of the blue. It's in amazing condition with some discoloration on the back neck facing. And one small 1/2" slit(not a hole or moth hole) in the lower back which I've repaired and is virtually invisible, see pics. Because this is a jacquard weave. I chose to use thread for the repair that matched the outside, in case any thread showed. So on the inside, where the robe is green, you can see the cobalt blue thread in a cross-hatch pattern. The only label left is the hang loop label that says"IMPORTED GENUINE OMBRE. For sale a rare item of Victorian Cobalt Blue Glass, not really certain as to exactly what it was used for. Antique emergency lighting or sirens" are allowed) I am offering a working Beacon Ray emergency light. It is 12 volts and does work. About 9" tall and 9" in diameter. Good condition. No crack or breaks to the blue lens. The legal stuff: The merchandise comes from estate sales, flea markets, auctions, and good old picking. Photos are part of the description. This is a large Blue Glass Dome or Beacon as they are also called. That my Grandfather owned for as long as I can remember. It measures approximately 13 inches by 13 inches, by 13 inches and has light diffuser sides. It may have been a airport light or some form of light house or buoy light. It appears to be a rare find because I could not locate another. If you can pick it up or arrange your own shipping after it's paid for that can be worked out.

Up for bids is a vintage Emergency rotating beacon light This one is by the Federal sign and signal corporation This is the large size It was tested. Lights up and spins around shown in photo There is a little crack in the lens. It is hard to see in the photo The crack is about 4 inches long but there are no missing pieces missing from where the crack is. It is a clean crack in the lens The lens is blue and made of plastic The bulbs do work.
