Federal Sign and Signal Q2B Fire Truck Siren With Brake & 4 Bolt Mounting Base
Nice used Federal Sign& Signal Model Q2B Vintage Fire Truck Siren 12 Volt with Brake. This is from a Vintage American Lafrance Fire Truck and works starts right up and winds out very loud with that unmistakable Q siren roar the brake also works as it should. Base is 4 bolt holes for mounting to a flat surface and is 100% intact no cracks or broken corners. The siren cone is in good condition with some light scuffs and very small dings from use should be able to examine these in the pictures. Cone appears to be a later Federal replacement and does not have any serial or ID plate on it. The front grill has some very light scratches as well from use and a small cloud at a lower mounting screw in chrome. I have the original pedestal mount also for it from the American Lafrance front bumper on my other auctions. Here we have a Federal Signal Corporation Titan amber warning light. This one is called the Titan I'm guessing because it measures a whopping 11 5/8" H x 9"W x 28 3/4" Circ. It is model#312. 12 Volts. SAE W3 78. This rotating amber light appears be unused as far as I can tell. As you can see by the pics. The red plastic mounting plugs are still in the bottom of the base and the installation parts bag looks unopened with all original parts for installing this big boy. Parts include: pull switch. Toggle bolts, rubber grommets, wire, nuts, etc and the original instructions with original warranty. The silver paint on the finned base looks brand new. The amber bubble has a slight haze near the top. I believe this happened because of some kind of reaction it had with the plastic bag that it has been in contact with while it's ... morebeen in it's original box for who knows how many years. This thing has to be between 30 to 40 plus years old. I believe you could polish this off if you find the right plastic polish. There is a 2.5" hairline crack at the back of the lens. Near the clamp ring. You would barely notice this once installed on your vehicle. The metal clamp hoop that holds the bubble lens appears to me to be stainless steel looks brand new but has a slight slight haze or tiny oxidation discoloring from sitting on the shelf for so many years. I am sure a tiny pit of polish will make it look perfect. I would call this item New Old Stock and besides the tiny hairline crack I described. Anything else is pure shelf wear from sitting so long on the shelf. I have now doubt this thing is brand new and would work perfectly. Thank you for looking out our auction today. Up for auction is a Whelen Guardian Halogen Mini Lightbar. This bar has only been on this vehicle for little under 6 months. Very good condition! Lens is shiny with minimal scratches and absolutely NO fading. Lights are new and rotators have been greased up good. The internal plastic frame has no cracks. The reflectors are like new and have almost no dust on them. The housing has never been taken off except to change the lights. This is a very clean bar and also comes with an in-line quick disconnect(pictured) The bar is magnetically mounted to any vehicle roof. Quick disconnect is helpful if you ever need to remove the bar.
