Federal Signal FA3 Flasher Vista Streethawk Lightbar
These are USED Federal Signal FA3 Flashers for LED lights that normally steady burn. It makes them alternate. They can be split to have FOUR lights flash in pairs. For example. Lets say One and two are connected to one terminal and three and four are connected to the second one. you could put them in the order 1/3/2/4 etc. to have them flash in all sorts of ways. 1 and 2 would flash and then 2 and 4. Can be used in other applications, but i use them for LED's. great way to save money is buy steady burns that are a lot cheaper and just attatch these flashers to them. There are a few versions of the FA3. This one has FOUR wires. Three in a socket and one directly into the unit. Run + juice into the wire in the socket labeled X, and connect the red wire/+ input from the unit into L1 and L2. Then run ground into the unlabeled wire that goes ... moreinto the unit, while running ground to the LED units, also. This will make it alternate. It does so by using some sort of electro-magnet or something, which turns on and off. When the metal pin is pulled by the magnet it runs juice to the second LED and not the first one. It goes on and off making the lights alternate. These units were tested and work fine. Returns are not accepted as this is an electronic and people may fry these if you connect it to a way too powerful supply. You need 12 VDC! Dont connect it directly to a wall or anything! Up for Bid is a Federal Signal VISTA 45" LED Amber Light Bar Warning- Police- EMS- Tow Trucks Model X112FA99-NCDOT I will include a print out of the Wiring Diagram/ Installation Guide. But I do not have the control box for this light bar. I do not have the controller for this light bar. So I cannot fully test it, but I did do a quick power up test(wired to a 12v battery charger) and all the LED lights to do what they are supposed to do, BUT I couldn't get the 4 strobes to work. The strobe lamps are most likely burnt out or the connections are not properly wired. I cannot test it properly without a controller. So I am selling it AS IS.
