There appear to be no bulbs, and instead a flat"screen" that lights up instead(when functioning properly) Note that it says you should recharge the battery if it's been sitting more than 6 months, and I think it's pretty safe to say it's been out of service at least that long. See pictures of specs label inside unit. I've also tried to give good photos of the wiring. Though no electrician, it looks to me as though there is a place for a black cord to plug in, but it may be a redundant plugin. There is a red wire that seems to correspond to an attachment that has no wire; I attached this and there was no change. This unit was apparently made in 1992. And the plug ... moreis not three-prong. One possibility might be to take it to a qualified electrician and ask if he/she can take out all the insides and simply replace all that with a bulb and sheet of plastic with the correct color. If that is permissible under your fire code, and done correctly, that may be a way to go. This is being sold as not working and/or for parts. It is being sold in as. Exit Sign Glow In Dark Fluorescent Green
Energy saver no power needed.This is very cool I had planned to use it in my Theater room but we are planning to move and downsize. This glows a fluorescent green bright in dark. It has built in bracket and will need three screws for it. It's in great condition and was manufactured in 1993. There is two arrows one each way.I only see a small faint white mark between the E and X you can see in picture. It's so faint it wouldn't be seen hanging up. I'm a bit of a perfectionist and honest so I'm just trying to find something. Most wouldn't notice unless I pointed it out.Looks excellent. Here is a vintage Exit sign. Measures 13" long x 7 1/2"wide x 4 1/2" deep. Made of aluminum frame. In good shape. I see no dents. Solid piece of glass with all the paint on the interior side of the glass forming the word EXIT. White lettering is 3/4" wide. Engraved on the inside is"The Mirlin Company. Detroit 7. Michigan U.S.A. Use 25 Watt or smaller lamps" No zip code included with address. Not sure of the date of the piece. Union Made. The wire is currently installed on the top of the sign. There are pop-outs on the sides for a side mount application. The bottom is perferated with continuous rows to allow for heat dissipation. Up for bids is a large heavy vintage two sided exit sign with a cast aluminum body and doors made of punched aluminum sheet metal with red fiberglass panels. The sign measures 12 1/4" wide across the front by 8" to the top of the sign and 9" to the top of the mounting platform on top by 4 1/4" deep from front to back. It weighs just a couple ounces shy of 6 pounds as pictured. The sign and the fiberglass panels are in good used condition with no breaks as seen in the pictures. It needs some type of electrical light socket and needs to be wired to work again. Being sold as pictured and described so please ask any questions you may have before you place a bid.
