MDT Harvey Chemiclave 5000 Chemical Vapor Sterilizer/Autoclave. Unit is really in very nice shape. It's clean and functions well. I replaced the power indicator light. Installed a new float switch into the reservoir, new o-rings on the drain spool valve. Cleaned the chamber and ran around ten test cycles. The pressurize/depressurize knob will need to be replaced soon as it's cracked(this can be seen in the last photo) and they're available for about $23 online. This unit also includes a tray and tray handle/door adjustment tool. No other accessories are included. This little sterilizer would be great for all manner of cutting and surgical instruments. Hand pieces, forceps and similar medical items, the Harvey Chemiclave MDT 5000 is ideal for small dentistry practices and tattoo/piercing shops with basic sterilization needs.

This Harvey Chemiclave EC 5500 was removed from a working environment a few weeks ago after an oral surgeon retired. The autoclave is in excellent used condition and comes with tray as well as the small black cover that fits over the the refill reservoir. Sterilizer was plugged in and tested out. The unit gets to appropriate pressure/temperature and works perfectly. These Chemical sterilizers run off of an alcohol based vapo-steril solution. Not distilled water. Harvey Chemiclave 4000 autoclave sterilizer, works but needs door seal
From a state surplus sale. A Harvey Chemiclave 4000. When I got it the valve was was stuck- I removed and cleaned it so it works now. I test-ran the machine and I used*distilled* water as I do not have their special solution. The gauge got just barely into the green- this may be because I did not use their solution, but also I think there is a door seal leak. I could hear it hissing when the gauge got to the midway point, and you can see condensation on the hinge side of the door(third-to-last photo) But the heater definitely works, the timer works, the condensate exhaust works, the valve works. It comes with the tray and tray handle/wrench. It is definitely NOT leaking at the valve or any of the hose fittings- I ran it without the cover on so I could watch and listen to that area. And there was not a peep, nor a drop of water. The valve ... moreon this machine does not use O-rings as some others do; there's no indents for them, so no need to ever replace them. You just use teflon paste rated for steam fittings. So basically what I'm saying is, I'm selling this as a working machine, once you replace the door seal. You're bidding on this used Harvey EC5500. Model 266270, Chemiclave. It shows some scuffs and scrapes associated with normal use but no abuse. I plugged it in and it heats up and makes a beeping sound that I assume means it needs the water supply hooked up. That is the extenet to which I can test it.
