MDT Harvey Chemiclave 5000 Chemical Vapor Sterilizer/Autoclave. Unit is really in very nice shape. It's clean and functions well. I replaced the power indicator light. Installed a new float switch into the reservoir, new o-rings on the drain spool valve. Cleaned the chamber and ran around ten test cycles. The pressurize/depressurize knob will need to be replaced soon as it's cracked(this can be seen in the last photo) and they're available for about $23 online. This unit also includes a tray and tray handle/door adjustment tool. No other accessories are included. This little sterilizer would be great for all manner of cutting and surgical instruments. Hand pieces, forceps and similar medical items, the Harvey Chemiclave MDT 5000 is ideal for small dentistry practices and tattoo/piercing shops with basic sterilization needs.

Hello! Please read the complete terms and conditions section before bidding. Up for Auction: We are offering for your consideration this vintage Harvey Vapor Sterilizer(Model D) made in the U.S.A. This unit uses chemicals instead of water. This powered up and started heating. I have no chemicals for testing. So that's as much as I know of the mechanical condition. I did not leave this powered up for too long. The timer, which is basically an egg timer, seems to time well. The seals, ports, pressure chamber, electrical, etc. must be inspected by a qualified service person for your safety as well as others. Hence, selling this only for parts, restore, or display, not as working condition. Be smart! Be safe! The cosmetic condition shows minor pitting, scuffs, scratches, a few spots of plate loss, a few dents etc. throughout the chrome body, ... morenothing serious, minor rust on the door lock bolts, the pressure gauge dial, etc. The instrument tray has heavier pitting on the bottom, and minor pitting inside. The tray measures approx. 9 1/2" long x 4 1/2" wide x 2 1/4" deep. There is No tray removal tool. No wrench for filling. Although any adjustable wrench can be used. There is NO instruction manual. The inside pressure chamber shows blemishes, consistent with use. The bottom plate of the unit shows heavier rust, but the opposite side shows light rust, not worn through. The inside of the electrical compartment along with the chamber components look clean. The power cord looks to be in good condition and is grounded( 3 prong type) I have described what I see and what I know of this unit. Again, if you are going to put this in service, have it looked over. This is a sterilizer. This has to be right to sterilize properly! This operates under pressure! Caution must be used!
